Early on in the evening for our midnight sun/iceberg cruise in Greenland. A few sightings of majestic humpback whales - none breeching for us that evening- but a few flicking their tails when they dive down to deeper water.
American robin diving for pokeberries near my potting shed. Pokeberrie are poisonous for humans, but the birds love them so I keep a few plants around for them to feast on the berries. Backyard bird.

On our last night in Longboat Key, Florida, we just grabbed our cameras and walked down the beach. We had so much fun taking pictures of these Brown Pelicans fishing.
A very long range shot of a gannet diving off the Northumberland coast This shot was taken from the beach and has been heavily cropped so it's not the best quality.
I caught this Osprey hovering just before it initiated the dive but despite my anticipation, I misjudged its incredible speed as it accelerated toward the water and so missed the moment of contact. Small consolation, it missed the fish. Sometimes, that's the way it goes on Horsepen Bayou.
Pelican diving on fish at low tide in the harbor at Moss Landing. I was driving along when I saw lots of pelicans diving, so I whipped my Jeep off the road and started shooting.

Love watching juvenile Elegant Terns as they figure out their moves. This one was dipping and diving in the water honing some skills. Been waiting all summer for these Elegants to show up along the coast. They were late this year. But I was very happy to finally see them, even on a foggy day.

There’s nothing quite like watching a malachite kingfisher hunt. These minute birds sit low over the water, waiting for prey to catch their eye.
In an instant, they dart off their perch and dive into the water. Almost as quickly as it left, the kingfisher is back on its spot.
Still got a few shots of this falcon to post so posting 3 today I just got this guy in the far corner but liked it too much even though its out of frame I think it works I have removed Jesses & transmitter in all these shots
I would just like to say why do people act like sheep on here ok if you don't like this shot fair enough each to their own I see so many images on here that are quite frankly awful yet they get lots of comments faves ..that doesn't bother me really but if a person sees a shot not getting comments or faves then most people copy that yes this is out of frame but its a great shot and works in a artistic crop there has been award winning shots that are only just in frame sorry I had to say that if you don't like it please unfollow me.
