One of those typical London summer days again, the sun is shining, then it rains, then the sun comes out again.

Here is a shot I just took looking out of our kitchen door into the garden. You can still see the rain on the glass. The big blue thing in on the left is the garden umbrella and the turquise area in the middle is the door to our shed.

What I wanted to do in Millennium Park is make something that would engage the Chicago skyline…so that one will see the clouds kind of floating in, with those very tall buildings reflected in the work. And then, since it is in the form of a gate, the participant, the viewer, will be able to enter into this very deep chamber that does, in a way, the same thing to one's reflection as the exterior of the piece is doing to the reflection of the city around.

Bruce Munro installation in the lobby at Franklin Park (his title in parens). There were five of these large chandelier-like installations; I can't even imagine hanging all those glass globes without breaking several.

We`re visiting friend and fellow Flickrite, vermillion$baby, in Tulameen, B.C. for a few days and went for a ride on Otter Lake today. I loved the distorted reflections made bythe wake of the boat we were in. (09-09-27-5908)
