Hmm, I'm guessing this is what they call "spread-eagled"? The Vikings had a method of killing people called the "Blood Eagle" - it involved opening someone's chest and throwing their lungs over their shoulders... I think. But since this guy's lungs were removed, I though it was appropriate.

all the white chunky stuff is fat. for some reason we had a very large very fat cat. he had about a 3/4 layer of fat under his skin.

Postscript: after replacing the inverter and monitor cables, I still have blackness on the lower 2/3 of the screen. I'm going to try replacing the inverter board itself, and if that fails, I'll have to pick up a replacement LCD screen. Yuck.
