The students examined the earthworm and it’s incredible digestive system. They learned about the benefits of decomposers while also searching for the incredibly small brain located inside of the earthworm. It’s fascinating to learn about how the LORD had his hand in every creation.

Here's a different angle of the neck incision with the staples. This was taken three days after surgery. You can see the bruising from where the skin was pulled back to allow access to the internal neck. Yep, they partially skinned me!
I am a science nerd so I love this stuff. In this picture ou can see the heart and the coronary artery, pulmonary trunk, and precava. Next to the heart the things that look like flaps are lungs. South of the heart you'll see the liver, and that white thing under the liver is part of the stomach.

Not something you see everyday! I used to teach human anatomy to under and post graduate level. My youngest, Phoebe is going to uni to study Vet-med, the anatomy of the pig is very similar to that of a human so we are doing some dissections to allow Phoebe to gain surgical skills such as scapel control and to learn her basic mammal anatomy. Today a pigs head, tomorrow the eye and heart and then next week the pluck. Max is going to have field day with all this piggy meat!

From the balcony in Ibiza. This would have been a strobist shot, I had set up the flash on a gorilla pod attached to the railings off to the right, but when I tried to take the shot the trigger/receiver battery was flat so the flash had to go on camera :-( .... ended up angling the flash up and to the side to get bounce off the white wall and ceiling.
In a sense this was inspired by The Blackstar amongst others, who combine a portrait with detail shots. I love the style, but thought a portrait of the lady wife may be spoiled by a harsh/high structured B&W processing so went for something a little softer ..... still not decided whether I prefer this or the B&W version.
Go on hit L, it looks better .... and hit F cos it makes me happy!
