Getting ready to sell the MBP soon, so I started erasing the free space last night using a 35-pass or whatever it was. I think I've got 12 hours to go yet.
Disk 1 of Alias came from Blockbuster - obviously unplayable. Unfortunately Disk 2 also came and they replaced disk1 with disk 3 so we have to wait ages to get disk 1 (or cancel the lot and move onto the next series)
Each storage device has 4 anti-vibration mounts which are fixed with 2 screws. These were fitted next.

The 3370 HDA (Head Disk Assembly) was about 500MB, so there is 1GB here. I have 32GB in my iPhone today...
Also with a flat-bed 8809 reel-to-reel tape drive on the end. Don't recall them going wrong too much. You could use a socket spanner to winch up the flat-bed deck to almost 90 degrees vertical for servicing.
