On a hike very close to Lake Constance, we discovered a whole herd of Scottish highland cattle. We were a little surprised to discover these "foreign" guests among the local cows.
Mainly because we barely spotted these types of cattle years ago during a three-week trip to Scotland.
In all my years of photography, one genre I had not previously explored is woodland photography. Stepping into this new realm feels like entering a hidden world, where soft sounds and dappled light quietly draw you in. Capturing the forest’s magic demands patience and an eye for detail amid the natural chaos. Rain droplets clinging to leaves, thick moss draped over branches, shadows stretching across the forest floor as sunlight pierces the canopy—all these elements shape the scene. Colours shift constantly, from vibrant greens to deep autumn hues, each frame capturing a calm, alive moment and revealing the rainforest’s timeless beauty.

It was quite cold and blustery when we visited Chapel Porth on the north coast of Cornwall, near St Agnes. But the upside was that we only had to share the vast sandy beach with a handful of people and their dogs. This was looking towards Porthtowan and Portreath. St Ives is in the far distance, hidden by mist and spray from the sea. When visiting this part of the world I've discovered that downloading a tide table is invaluable, as at high tide the beach is totally covered by the sea.
Prince Henry the Navigator leading other explorers on their travels into a beautiful Lisbon Sunset. The 25 April bridge catches the last golden sun along with a small rainbow at the far end of the bridge.
The Padrao dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries) was inaugurated in .1960 commemorating 500 years since the death of Henry the Navigator who initiated the era of Portuguese explorers and discoveries. The monument shows 33 persons who were in some way involved in the discoveries.

Abandoned school on Stage Road, a half-mile from the historic Hat Creek Stagecoach Station, northeast of Lusk, Wyoming in Niobrara County.
I couldn’t find any information online about the school, but it must be old, with the water pump and the horse hitching post in the yard.
This was along one of the most dangerous parts of the Cheyenne-Deadwood stagecoach line, established when gold was discovered in the Black Hills in 1874. Highway robberies and attacks by Indians defending their land were common, and the Army established a small post nearby to protect miners traveling along the road.
After shooting the school, I saw some nice shots at the station, but unfortunately it started pouring rain.

Hey there!
Some of you might have seen this build already at Legoworld Utrecht last month, but now I finally found the time and energy to take the photo's.
This one was quite an interesting build as the composition is quite different compared to the usual 'buildings' stuff I make. This time the center is 'empty' but still the main focus of the build where it all started.
It was quite tricky to really capture the colours in the digital edit, but I am quite pleased how this one turned out :)
Oh, and no, this doesn't resemble a specific DnD area, but I have played some Baldur's Gate 3, so there sure is a lot of inspiration from that world.
Anyway, that's is for this one; I will be back for some Brickscalibur stuff soon!

I went to a local antiques and collectables fair this morning and I discovered this beautiful antique cash drawer - which of course I filled with treasures straight away! I love it a lot :)
It's about 17 inches/42 cms wide...
HFF! A cyclist on his own bike rides past a bike share station. Ahead there is no public access to the beach, but i walked a block west and discovered the Sand Beach Road Parkette where I took the photo posted yesterday.
