Alguns dels companys de AFVAN van quedar al Coll de la Botella per fer una sessió de fotos de la Via Làctia i algo d’astrofotografia. Vaig anar per veure com anava la cosa amb els trakers - un món sens dubte, molt interessant per explorar - i ja de pas fer alguna foto a la Via Làctia. Ja he dit diversos cops, al meu gust no és un lloc molt interessant per la contaminació, ara si mires al nord és una altra cosa, però allà no hi ha la Via Làctia, tot i així amb la silueta dels arbres com a element compositiu vaig poder fer aquesta foto, en aquest cas, en lloc de posar l’angular més gran ( 16mm ) vaig voler tancar més ( 35mm ) per treure la VL més gran.

This picture was taken during the evening time at the Wildcat canyon Falls in Illinois, USA with Nikon D850 and Samyang 14mm f2.8 manual lens.
Fish Rocks! This night photo shows the movement of the stars over a long period of time, and is created by the movement of the earth. All of the illumination was done with a hand-held flashlight during the exposure, and is not a post-processing creation. No pixels were harmed in the creation of this photo.
“Originally they were called Whale Heads,” explains Margaret Brush, a member of the Searles Valley Historical Society (SVHS). “They date back to 1928. They did not always have teeth, like they do today.” At one point, people painted over the graffiti art to cover it. Two people re-painted the fish faces. They have been there since that time.

I Am Puffin, Hear Me Roar (2016-06-14 23:34)
This was my first attempt at photographing wild birds with any sort of seriousness. I was inspired by the cuteness and vibrant colors of the puffins, and spent quite some time laying on my stomach photographing these birds near the cliffs.
Puffins are insanely cute, so insanely cute. And if you go to Iceland, it's imperative that you see the Látrabjarg Bird Cliffs, easily one of the most spectacular sea-bird cliffs in the world, and where millions of puffins in the warmer months go to, uh, do puffin things. I went with a group of photographers, and many of us were surprised at how fearless the cute little puffins were, and how close we could get to them. But not too close, or one could plummet off the side of the sheer-sided cliff.
And now, I will entertain you with some fun facts:
- Puffins only have their Technicolor bill part of the time, during mating season.
- They are nicknamed "sea parrots", or sometimes "clowns of the sea".
- Puffins are amazing swimmers, and can dive 60m underwater. So, like, that'd be almost 200 feet under the surface.
- The Látrabjarg Bird Cliffs are the westernmost part of Europe.
- Puffins can be found on menus of some restaurants around Reykjavik.
- I think this is the first time I ever seriously tried to photograph wild birds.
- I did not use any Photoshop Cartoon Function to make this fine bird look like Toucan Sam.

Tinc un problema amb aquest lloc. Crec que és un dels racons més macos per fer fotos a cascades aquí a Andorra, però el meu problema amb aquest lloc és que acostumo a fer la mateixa foto sempre, sempre que hi vaig em col·loco a dins del riu a sota el pont, ja que crec que és el lloc més interessant i faig una foto que m’agrada, però estic segur ( algun cop ho he fet ) que des d’altres punts de vista la cosa també és interessant. Aure de continuar anant amb la idea de no anar al lloc de sempre a veure si trobo altres punts de vista interessants. Que a veure si en tinc algunes, però molt poques amb comparació amb la “mateixa” foto, en tinc una que vaig publicar al setembre que m’agrada molt.

A night photo of an abandoned building with chicken and face graffiti, Halloran Springs, CA. Illuminated by a ProtoMachines LED2 flashlight and a full moon. This is not a post-processing creation. No pixels were harmed during the creation of this photo. :D
This is a real photo. This evening, everything was illuminated by a big bright moon, an almost full moon, almost bright enough to read a book. And setting the camera to a long exposure made the camera much more sensitive to light than our eyes on this already bright evening. This is why this photo seems brighter than what we might see at night. It is not due to post-processing.The moon, which reflects light from the sun, also makes the sky bluer, and when the photo is a long exposure photo, the sky will appear brighter, making the blue more apparent. I also illuminated parts of this scene with an LED flashlight while the camera shutter was open. This is not a post-processing creation. No pixels were harmed during the creation of this photo. :D
The streaks in the sky are stars, showing the movement across the sky while the camera shutter was open and registering the photo. The movement of the stars are, of course, created by the rotation of the earth, and the long exposure photo shows these movements over time. I am fascinated with how a single long exposure photo can show movements and the cumulative effects of light in a single image. Thank you for reading this and looking at the image.

The fjord in Djupavik, Iceland. We hung out, photographing the beautiful sunset across the fjord, during one of Iceland's gorgeous, hours-long sunset. One of the photographers, Suzanne, noted that the colors were finally started to fade. However, just ten minutes later, to our surprise, the colors began growing more intense again, and we quickly realized that we were now watching a very slow sunrise.
