Un dels llocs que més he anat a fer fotos de cascades aquí a Andorra, és al riu Pollós. La major part dels cops que hi vaig acostumo a fer la foto des del mateix lloc, cosa que no m'aporta gaire, com tinc la composició que trobo millor, em costa buscar més i és un gran error. Aquest cop, però vaig anar amb la intenció de no fer la foto de sempre i anar a buscar una cosa diferent, i vaig trobar una foto que m'agrada força, el que confirma que és un error fer sempre el mateix, cosa que ja sabia.
En aquest cas, volia una cosa més propera a la cascada gran, així que vaig entrar mes o menys al mig del camí entre el pont i la cascada buscant una mica de salt d'aigua per posar al primer pla, tenia aquestes pedres que separen l'aigua en 2 i vaig pensar que podia ser interessant posar-ho al mig i tenir a la part baixa de la foto les dues branques de l'aigua que s'uneixen cap amunt fins a la cascada gran. L'opció de vertical va ser perquè necessitava llargada i no tenia res als costats que m'aportes gaire, en aquest cas ho tenia bastant clar.

Almost Heaven, West Virginia. This is a 2.5 second exposure of Brush Creek Falls. Despite the constant rain, the water for most waterfalls we visited was a trickle. Brush Creek Falls was the exception. This is the largest waterfall in the southern part of the state, and once had a water-powered mill, which was built by Jimmy D. Johnson around 1880. The falls drops over a sandstone ledge that is about 25 feet/7.5 meters in height near the mouth of the stream's deep gorge of Brush Creek at Bluestone River.

Skogafoss In The Mist (2016-06-22 12:43)
Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 meters (82 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days. This was not one of those sunny days. The mist, however, lends a beautiful mystery to the image, especially in this 2 second long exposure.
According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. The story also says that the chest was found years later, but they could not grasp the chest, only getting the ring from the side of the chest. This ring was given to a local church, which in turn gave it to a museum. However, I did find the treasure, and I should be handing in my resignation to work shortly. Abandoned movie lot, Mojave Desert. Everything here was very consistently Roman or Greek looking, and the old set location was littered with columns, some standing, some fallen, as well as busts, statues, reliefs, and stands as well as plaster molds. I illuminated the columns while the camera shutter was open with a hand-held Protomachines LED2 flashlight. Thank you to David Dasinger for taking me here. Nikon D610/14-24mm f/2.8. 233s exposure. The white streaks in the sky are stars, as the long exposure of the photo shows the movement of the stars due to the earth's rotation over a long period of time.

The Joshua Twins Star Trails (5477)
This is a star trails photo, showing the movement of the stars as created by the rotation of the earth over 30 minutes. I love how a single image can show movement over such a long time! This is a real photo taken at night during a full moon. I set my tripod-mounted camera to a long exposure, keeping the shutter open for a long time, which makes the camera much more sensitive to light than our eyes on this already bright evening. I illuminated the foreground with a hand-held ProtoMachines LED2 flashlight to bring out more depth. I used a Pinout remote controller/app to set and trigger the camera.
I took this photo in Joshua Tree National Park, CA, hanging out with Dave Dasinger while doing so. JTNP is my spiritual home for night photography, and it felt utterly fantastic to return here to photograph here at night and hike during the day.

About Ullswater
Many consider Ullswater to be the hidden gem of the Lake District and as the most beautiful of the English Lakes. It is pure and tranquil and relatively unspoilt by the tourism and commercialism that blights many other Lake District towns.
Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District, approximately 9 miles long, ¾ of a mile wide and nearly 200 feet deep. It was formed after the last ice age when a glacier scooped out the valley floor then filled with meltwater when the glacier retreated.
You’ll not find high street shops in the Ullswater Valley, or rows of trendy bars, but quaint villages, welcoming pubs and stunning scenery. From Pooley Bridge at one end, to Glenridding at the other there are a scattering of lovely villages that attract visitors from all over the world.
The ‘jewel’ of Eden
The area is very popular with fell walkers exploring some of Wainwright’s most loved mountains such as Hellvellyn and its breath taking Striding Edge. A visit to the National Trust’s, Aira Force waterfalls offers another stunning adventure, whilst a trip on the Ullswater Steamer offers something for all the family…topped off with an ice cream to finish!
Ullswater is very popular as a sailing destination, with several sailing marinas situated around the lake. The prestigious Lord Birkett Memorial Trophy is held annually on the first weekend in July. There are also facilities for diving, rowing and motorboats as well as canoeing for those more adventurous. Ullswater was the home of the world water speed record on July 23, 1955, when Donald Campbell piloted the jet-propelled hydroplane “Bluebird K7” to a speed of 202.32 mph (325.53 km/h).
We could not mention Ullswater without mentioning William Wordsworth, who was inspired to write the poem “Daffodils” after seeing daffodils growing on the shores of Ullswater. As well as many beautiful daffodils and a plethora of other stunning flora and fauna, Ullswater offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK.
