Laundry Tips:
1. Turn your tee shirts and sweat shirts inside out when you wash them. This will stop pilling which happens from the clothes rubbing together.
2. For rust stains, squeeze the juice of one lemon on the spot. Sprinkle on some salt and let it set several hours keeping the spot damp with lemon juice. If colorfast, leave in sunlight as this will help the bleaching process. Rinse when the spot has disappeared, and launder according to fabric instructions.
3. Fact: 600,0000 tons of chocolate are consumed in the world each year, so it’s probably a good idea to know how to remove it should some fall upon you.
Method for removal: Use a dull knife or spoon to remove as much as possible. Rinse the back of the stain with cold water. Rub liquid enzyme detergent into the stain, then soak in cold water for 30 mins or until the stain is loosened. Old, persistent stains may need to be soaked for several hours. Occasionally rub the stain between your thumbs as it soaks. Rinse well and allow to dry. If stain remains, apply laundry presoak and launder.
A rather dirty Veterans Sprinter had train 125 crossing the Susquehanna River on a pretty cold day on the water.

Through the fog I managed to find a way to the bridge over the outer end of the Zandeken yard. An earlier attempt to photograph the train in the fog failed completely, as the train was just not visible. Close to the bridge, visibility was a lot better.
The 77 series loco will pull the train to Gent-Zeehaven, where an electric loco will take over to take it further south.

The squirrels are really busy now getting ready for winter--this one stopped looking for food long enough to pose for a picture.
Maybe she should have washed her face first though. :-). Hehehe.

Dirty Wings.
No its not a new sub-species of egret, just an egret with mud from the mud flats on its wings.
It may have been the state of the tide at John Heinz NWR but all the birds were covered in mud making ID very difficult: the ducks paddling through the mudflats were covered from head to toe. the shorebirds were sinking up to their bodies and even the swans were very muddy.
The mudflats seemed to be very rich in food. I watched the shorebirds, egrets and herons catching all sort of small fish and other organisms despite having great difficulty moving around.

I visited my squirrel friends today again but it was only a short visit as it was very cold, not spring-like at all, and very cloudy too. Someone had left nuts for the squirrels and they were busy burying what they didn't eat on the spot. Therefore this squirrel wasn't the only one with a dirty nose.
