On the Dutch 3000v system there is quite a current draw needed to start a train so on these locos two pantographs are needed until the train has 25kph of speed when one of the pantographs is dropped. This was the tail loco of a typical NS InterCity Direct top-&-tailed train, what was unusual was that this train had 9 (one a former DVT) cars and not 5.

Pedro Cayuqueo, periodista, escritor y directivo de la Corporación Enama lanzó el pasado 11 de mayo y a sala llena la edición argentina de "Solo por ser Indios" en la Feria Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires. Invitado por el Consejo Nacional del Libro y la Lectura, el destacado periodista integró la delegación de escritores chilenos que asistió a esta importante feria Latinoamericana que se desarrolló en La Rural entre el 21 de Abril y el 11 de Mayo.
La presentación se realizó el pasado lunes en la Sala Juan Rulfo (Pabellón Amarillo) de la tradicional feria boneaerense y fue organizada por el Grupo Editorial del Nuevo Extremo. La obra, publicada en Chile en 2012 por Catalonia y que ya va por su cuarta edición, fue comentada por el lonko Luis Eduardo Pincén y por el periodista argentino Adrián Moyano. El acto estuvo encabezado por el destacado antropólogo Carlos Martínez Sarasola, autor de "La Argentina de los Caciques" y "Nuestros paisanos los indios" entre otros libros.
Pedro Cayuqueo (1975, Puerto Saavedra) es originario de una comunidad mapuche de Nueva Imperial. Cursó periodismo en la Universidad de La Frontera. Fundador y director de los periódicos Azkintuwe y MapucheTimes, es columnista del semanario The Clinic y La Tercera, además de conductor de Kulmapu, programa de entrevistas de CNN Chile. Es miembro del directorio del centro de estudios Espacio Público y consejero del Instituto Nacional de Derechos Humanos (INDH). Padre de una hija, vive en la ciudad de Temuco.

Direct Rail Services (DRS) is a freight operating company created by British Nuclear Fuels Limited. The company started rail operations in 1995 using five heavily refurbished Class 20/3 diesel locomotives. Since then it has expanded greatly, and has acquired many more locomotives, most bought second-hand and subsequently refurbished. Ownership of DRS was transferred from BNFL to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority when the NDA was created on 1 April 2005, under the terms of the Energy Act 2004. DRS is the only remaining publicly owned rail freight company in the United Kingdom.

Take a moment to watch our world go by.
Some years ago, playwright Peter Handke was sitting in a town square watching people come and go. Suddenly men carrying a coffin emerged from a house and transformed the square into a stage, lending each vignette that followed – a woman walking her dog, a couple having an argument, a man jogging – special meaning.
Inspired by this experience, The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other is a play without words, narrated by music and animated by unspoken interaction. This production gives the simple pleasure of people-watching a vibrant dramatic life as the audience weave a narrative out of the everyday scenes of a city.
This 450-character production will be taking to The Lyceum stage directed by Lyceum Associate Artist Wils Wilson, in association with Janice Parker Projects. We are throwing open the doors of The Lyceum and welcoming a large scale cast of Edinburgh residents onto the stage to create this exciting production.

Hermosillo, Sonora, Septiembre 13 de 2009.- Un Gobierno abierto, ciudadano, humano y sensible a las necesidades, pero sobre todo que sabrá escuchar a los sonorenses, ofreció Guillermo Padrés Elías, luego de rendir protesta como Gobernador de Sonora para el período 2009-2015.
“Vamos a trabajar incansablemente por los sonorenses”, aseguró el Gobernador Padrés Elías,
luego de abrir las puertas de Palacio de Gobierno a los ciudadanos que lo acompañaron a recibir las llaves de este recinto. Previamente, en cumplimiento del Artículo 72 de la Constitución Política del Estado de Sonora, Padrés Elías rindió protesta como Gobernador, ante la nueva mesa directiva, presidida por el Diputado Enrique Pesqueira Pellat, donde además estuvo el Gobernador saliente, Eduardo Bours. En esta ceremonia protocolaria, el nuevo Gobernador sonorense estuvo acompañado por su esposa Iveth Dagnino de Padrés, por sus hijos, y por los Senadores Gustavo Madero, Santiago Creel, Ema Larios y Marco Antonio Muñoz.
En su oficina de Palacio de Gobierno, el Gobernador Padrés tomó protesta a Héctor Larios y a Alejandro López Caballero, como Secretarios de Gobierno y de Hacienda, respectivamente. En su primera entrevista como Gobernador de Sonora, Padrés Elías aseguró que la entidad será la mejor aliada del Presidente Felipe Calderón para el combate a la pobreza y la inseguridad, y para la promoción de empleos. Agregó que trabajará de la mano con los partidos políticos, para unificarlos por el bien de Sonora. Pidió tiempo a los sonorenses para empezar a darles resultados y cumplir las expectativas.
“Decirles que tenemos un gran compromiso con ellos, y pedirles que nos acompañen en estos seis años para construir este nuevo Sonora”
, reiteró.
Informó que el Procurador General de Justicia, Abel Murrieta, permanecerá unos meses más en el cargo para que haga una entrega muy firme y completa a su sucesor.
“El tema de la seguridad es muy importante para el Estado y no la vamos a arriesgar”, aseveró.
El Gobernador Padrés aseguró que su antecesor Eduardo Bours siempre será reconocido como un Gobernador que trabajó por los sonorenses.
