Beautiful maiden that was selling parasols at the 2014 Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie, Texas.

Barbie Fashionista 157 before I re-do her lips! (and maybe her eyebrows?)

This sculpt is the cutest, I think it's my favourite!

My nephew has a normal dimple on his left and a high dimple on his right -- you can see the high one here. Teeter-totter dimples for a teeter-totter kid.

Shot this in Albuquerque a few years ago. Processed this half in Lightroom and half on my iPhone using Snapseed for posting on IG. I think if I had an iPad where there would be more room to edit on screen I could really do a much better and faster job with some of my editing. Really wish google would make a desktop version of Snapseed.

Ahhhhhh cuteeee !!! *melts* ..

Paper: 7.5 cm DC, inlays 3.75 cm DC

Modules: 6

Model: Tomoko Fuse

Book: Kusudama Origami Hanakiriko p.93

Needs cuts but no glue. Inlays are a bit loose.

Third variation of that dimpled cuboctahedron I've folded. Assembly was ok, bit harder than last time partly because of the paper partly because the tips inside the pockets which get sometimes in the way when inserting the flaps.

Nonetheless nice to fold as ever...

Each a Tiny Miracle Filled with Promise

We look at a child, and we think we see

the child we think

we could have been

or the child we were

all over again.

We see dimples, we see fingers,

we see toes that feel finer

than the finest velvet.

Softer than the softest down.

We see chance.

We are so tempted

to think we can mold –

that we should –

a child into going our way.

To become what we want.

Wanted so badly to be.

Stand up! Put your shoulders back!

Don’t touch that!

Pick up!

Don’t talk back!

Go to the school I tell you to.

This is dressing for success.

Only think you want to play

with that. Like my game better.

This profession, not that.

Age and Experience have decided.

You are a child. Remember that.

We are the ones who need

to remember. There is A Plan

that has little to do with us.

If we feed our children well,

if we listen, if we show

instead of tell,

if we keep a hand free

to stop falls – not failures --

if we are here, rewarding

and growing along with,

our children will soon lead us

as they travel with awe

through The Great Adventure.

Shhhhhh. Close the storybook

for now. So sweet in sleep.

Such treasures not to keep.

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like. ~ Lao Tzu

Quanah is one of those small Texas towns that did not have a helipad (or room for one) at the hospital. Luckily, the lot opposite the hospital never had a house built on it and that served as our LZ. And, like most of the small town LZ and helipads that we had to use, there were obstacles galore. In Quanah, we had power line on three sides of the LZ and on the fouth was the tall trees and house that you can see behind Dimples. The fire department would come out at anytime to block off the streets around the LZ to keep things safe.

He had this dimple when he was born and we assumed it would disppear. Thankfully, it's still there whenever he smiles.

During the first 8 days of March, I photographed Dimpled Trout Lily (Erythronium umbilicatum) at sites in three different states (GA, SC, NC). I saw this one in the Nine Times Forest and Preserve in Pickens County, South Carolina.
