Digitized paper photo taken during a trek through the White Desert (Egypt).

Location: ancient Roman settlement.

This trek took place in 2001. The trip consisted of daily walking tours + transfers by jeep. We slept every day somewhere in the desert under the starry sky, a "heavenly" experience. The White Desert is in my top 3 of travel outside Europe.

Now I have to spend time to try digitizing the archives of a lifetime

Mainly slides for lots of distant travels,(Asia and middle East) Colour print films for short travels in Europe ,and some B&W made throughout the years, especially in Paris

After a first selection, rigorous enough, it 'remains far too many

Too bad that the Digital Photography has appeared too late for me.......Can no longer travel anywhere , can no longer walk long in Paris , (health problems)

...... And yet I was very reluctant, but now I appreciate the quality of sensors and the ease of processing, with softwares ,effective and easy to use

Self portrait photoshopped onto a circuit board I have saved. I always save interesting things like that to potentially use in future photos.

Con Silvia he conseguido muchos primeros premios.

Modelo: Spotmatic Reflex

Objetivo: 50 mm. Takumar multirevestido

Apertura: f/ 1,8 Para reducir el campo focal.

Velocidad: No consta.

Iso: 400

Photography story:

Photograph taken in 1979, with analog and digitized photography.

In those days I had already gone through various brands of cameras and I stayed with the Asahi Pentax Spotmatic (SLR) with which I took this photograph.

At that time in my free time, I took photographs to make books for young people who aspired to be models.

We made a pact, I took photos for their book completely free and in return they posed for me to participate in national photo contests. With Silvia I have won many first prizes.

These Books were very complete with photographs of all parts of the body, face, hair, eyes, mouth etc .. etc .. to be able to get any type of ads, about accessories, clothes or cosmetics.

This photo nº 34, is one of a series made on his eyes.

(All photos were on paper and the chosen ones, the final presentation was in 18x24 format).

Technical Data:

Camera: Asahi Pentax

Model: Spotmatic Reflex

Lens: 50 mm. Takumar multi-coated

Aperture: f / 1.8 To reduce the focal field.

Speed: Not stated.

Iso: 400

Movie: Kodak Tri X.

Developer: Tetenal at 20º to avoid the grain of the emulsion

Tripod: No, because you have to shoot a lot and in a short time, so as not to tire the model.

I can't provide you with all the technical data of the photograph, because it was analog photography and they were not registered.

I hope you like them dear friends of Flickr.
