2007 Epiphone Baritone Les Paul, Natural Walnut, Dual Humbucker

When I came home from work today, my room had been lovingly re-arranged. My Korg and Casio were set up right next to each other like this, ready to play. The Dick Smith variable power supply was new that day on sale, and the multimeter is my trusted friend for many many years now.

My only wish is that the Casio had a mod wheel. It's got a Vibrato On/Off button, which applies Modulation controller in one big jump, but, no mod wheel. The lack of velocity sensitivity doesn't phase me that much.

A lot have changed since my last pedalboard picture which was the biggest I ever had. After that I bought the Vox amp which doesn't react that well to some pedals and moreover I wanted less distraction so I came back to something really simple with juste distorsion, delay and a tuner.

But it couldn't last, Gas got me again but what saves me is maybe lazziness : I don't want to carry a bigger pedalboard than the one in the picture or have some other pedals outside. So I'm gonna stick with this and actually it's enough to do quite a lot of flavors thanks to the digitech on the left that does wah, pitchshift, chorus, flanger and leslie

Just finished setting up my pedalboard for rehearsals. Post-Rock/Ambient-ish.

My first pedal board, a Pedaltrain JR. In the picture from top left: Cioks Big John power supply, Digitech Bad Monkey OD, Boss NS2 noise supressor, BYOC Ping Pong Delay (my own build), Danelectro Fab Chorus, Blackstar HT Dual.

My "rig" that is currently taking up way too much space in the livingroom...

My new setup for guitar.

Previously I was using a Fender Frontman 15G, which is a lousy practice amp that comes with cheap starter guitar/amp sets. It had grounding issues and was very noisy, with lots of static and hum. It's tone was also pretty bad. I did get it for free though, so I can't complain much.

The Vibro Champ XD is 5 Watt (Class A) Tube Amp with modeling. I got it used on ebay for $116.

it's pretty sweet. Because it's only 5 watts, you can crank it up and get some nice warm tube distortion at acceptable apartment volumes. The preamp is hybrid tube/solid state with the digital signal processing. It has a 12AX7 in the preamp and a 6V6 power amp tube. The tubes warm up the DSP preamp nicely.

It has 3 Bassman voicings (clean to overdriven), 3 Blackface voicings (again clean to overdriven), a couple of "British" models, which are assume are attempts at a VOX AC30 and a Marshall Plexi. There are also a couple of metal voiced high gain channels as well. Rounding out the dial is a "jazz" voice that is very dark and warm and a model of the Fender Acoustasonic, an amp design for acoustic-electric guitars.

I'm running it into a Kutom 1X12 Cabinet, another ebay deal. Brand New, $89 shipped. The stock speaker sounds good, though it definitely needs to be broken in. It has more volume and low end than the XD's 8" speaker.

All in all, I think it's a sweet sounding budget rig.

Yes, that's an iPad docked inside the new iPB-10 pedalboard from Digitech. Create your presets on the iPad, and the pedalboard does the DSP. Also shown is the new Whammy DT pedal.

We were recording last weekend and I emptied out pretty much everything at home and in the studio. Anyway, here's my current pedal board set-up.
