This is the most clichéd view of Durham Cathedral, I decided to do something a little different - several layered Topaz Impression filters, which I masked and sketched back into parts of the image. I also sketched back some the original photo to bring some the details back into the Cathedral without making it too much like a photo.
Here’s our youngest Granddaughter at a family get-together last summer. The background was way too busy but I loved the way she was lost in her writing amid all the chatter around her so I have created an alternative backdrop using the Procreate app for iPad.

Six shades of red 350° and of green 150° alternating overlaid at 60% opacity. Two types of brightness calc, sRGB gamma on left and DCs gamma on right (ask me if you want to know what these acronyms mean). On top, two drawings in a 20-pixel soft Photoshop brush monochrome with auto-detected outlines, left figure red channel 75% and right figure green channel 90%.
