Trying out Kyle T Webster Copier brushes in updated Procreate 5 app for iPad. It now accepts Photoshop .abr brush files. They have a really nice scruffy texture. I can’t compare them in Procreate to what they must feel like in Ps, as I haven’t used Ps in ages. They're pretty nice in Procreate though. 👍

I have been very busy and occupied due to my career/job since October that I rarely draw even on weekends 😭 and I try to squeeze in whatever spare time I have to draw 😭:). So, I did manage to finish it today, yay 😭:) and considering that I started this drawing project as far as first week of October ,lol. I had this idea since 2020 and very glad it's now completed. Rem is from the famous Japanese anime Re:Zero :), pretty cool story btw :). One of the most challenging part in painting is the Cherry Tree blossoms 😭, I had to paint each branches and flowers one by one and colour tone each flower one by one 😭:). The result is ok but not exactly what I expect it to be but it's acceptable :). The other hard part is the folds on the cloth 😭:). Cloth folds are always very tricky, since your mind need to be able to render or simulate in 3D in your thoughts to see how folds work. I was thinking of drawing Rem's twin sister, Ram 😭:), hmmm... :). Next drawing is still Jennie :). Thanks for looking. Drawn using ps cc/cintiq32pro. Partly directly from a photo of a self-portrait from the 80s, partly from imagination.
A few sessions, probably a couple hours.
This making lots of strokes definitely takes longer than just laying in big blocks of color!
Cheap artist trick: If you put that little highlight on the eyes so they look wet, it's very compelling...
The eyes are a bit high but amazingly lowered quite a bit from the original drawing.

Tara is THE LOBSTERESS.
A few years ago, Tara bought a j.crew sweater bearing a lobster shape on the front. When she wore it with dark pants and glasses, I was immediately reminded of Baroness, a member of COBRA and a sworn enemy of GIJoe and freedom.
Now I have finally got around to depicting Tara as the lobster-themed international “tara-rist”.
I am not sure if Lobsteress is the right name yet.
This whole piece came out much better than I expected. It looks too good to be something I did and I can’t stop looking at it. Tara likes it too. She gave me pointers and advice through the process.

I was walking on a path that runs along the Rivière-du-Chêne when I noticed that we got a good view of the St.Eustache church from down there. Unlike Alex, John is allowed to wear color, because he pretty much has to wear whatever clothes people give him as he's too broke to buy his own. Which doesn't apply to his black suit, which he managed to get out of his previous residence before it blew up....
