This scene is located in a small portion of Old Montreal called the Faubourg Saint-Louis, at 443-449 Champs-de-Mars street. It is a house I see on my way to work, every other Friday. It is called the Michael-Cuddihy House, by the name of the irish merchant who built it in 1862. From 1862 to 1975, the house was in the Cuddihy familly, who sold it to the City of Montreal. Then the city held on to it until 1980, when it was sold to private owners. They are the ones who built the wood addition in 1980 (the part that I sketched). It is right next to a small private courtyard (where there are trees that I omitted, otherwise we would not have seen much of the details of this lovely addition), and right next to the courtyard is probably the tiniest city park called Ville-de-LaFlèche. The Cuddihy house is actually the big 3 story brick building west of the wood addition. This very light colored construction brings some light in the otherwise narrow and rather dark street.

I started a bunch of stuff yesterday and hated it, so today I did this in about 20 minutes to "warm up".

This is what I call his "murder face". Cause. Crow. Lol

Ok I'll stop.

Can’t remember if this was drawn with Pixelmator using a grainy brush I made, or when I was learning to use Clip Studio. Anyway, am enjoying it on another grey day.

Rose', the ultimate of the natural gracefulness, enchantment & pure beauty 😭:). This head profile drawing is for a half body drawing idea I had recently :). Should hopefully be completed this week. Next drawing is the magnificently fiercely beautiful Jennie 😭:). Thanks for looking. Drawn using ps cc, cintiq32pro. Enjoy, be honest 😭:) and sweet dreams :).

Apologies, it's been a while since I posted anything :). Back in late Feb this year I got a new job and this required full concentration and commitment and I just lost touch in any form of social media since then and I have to let go of certain things in life for a while, if you know what I mean :). But my past started to catch up with me again and life just tapped me in my shoulder and said "buddy, you gotta go back to drawing again" 😭:). So here I am. I've had some free time lately and started to grind again with Lisa's drawing in every opportunity that I had, considering I started this drawing back in January 😭. I have to admit, I have sort of forgotten how to post in Insta and how their formatting works, it's like I'm a noob again :).

Sharing some photos taken recently and some a few months back, mostly taken at work :). Oh the bags 😭:), those taken back in March :). I thought that day, hmmm, those bags reminded me which belonged to the most beautiful woman on this planet 😭:). Yeah, my iphone can't handle mix lighting very well, lol, so shadows look yuk :). Have fun everyone!

These are film shots shot around May :), using my old Hasselblad 501c and Carl Zeiss 50mm f4 Distagon FLE lens and a Kodak film :). I haven't used that camera since 😭:). Scanned using an Epson V800 and Silverfast 8 Ai. Have fun everyone!

A reconstruction of a 'Swing Riot' in the New Forest.

Agricultural workers converge by moonlight on Stuckton Iron Works in the New Forest in late November 1830, intent on destroying the threshing machines manufactured at the site - the machines that have taken their jobs in the farming fields of southern England and brought poverty to their families. The name 'Swing Riots' was derived from 'Captain Swing', the name often signed on the threatening letters sent to farmers, magistrates, parsons, and others in the unrest preceding the riots. Captain Swing was regarded as the mythical figurehead of the movement, his fictitious name apparently a reference to the swinging stick of the flail used in hand threshing.

red light - green light..

Games like "Red Light, Green Light" and "Statues" rely on a fascinating blend of psychological principles, including the development of self-regulation (impulse control), attention and focus, and cognitive flexibility.

players through inhibition (stopping on command) and anticipation (waiting for the signal to move), fostering critical skills such as listening, patience, and awareness of one's own actions. These games also serve to practice gross motor skills and, in some contexts, can be used to discuss complex social issues like power, privilege, and discrimination

Night terrors are a sleep disorder in which a person quickly awakens from sleep in a terrified state. The cause is unknown but night terrors are often triggered by fever, lack of sleep or periods of emotional tension, stress or conflict.

Crows And Ravens Challenge - June 2024

~

Archeologists have found cave paintings from 15,000 years ago in France and Spain depicting crows sitting on posts next to graveyards. Their meaning is unclear. Are they waiting for dinner or are they waiting to take the departed spirits to the afterlife?

Raven and crow motifs carry ancient symbolism—in different cultures and at different times associated with evil but also rebirth, darkness and (in Chinese mythology) the sun, spiritual strength and yet death

Going back to drawing:

While I was driving, a funny idea popped up: why not draw Totoro riding a motorbike. :D Started the drawing project back in 2018 but got sidelined and almost forgotten until now, lol.

Initially started the drawing on a Cintiq 13HD/Corel Painter but completed using Procreate and an ipad pro 12.9 today.

The goddess with the most beautiful natural smile 😭:) ). It's been a while I did a head profile drawing :) but don't get me wrong, this isn't for a grayscale to colour drawing :). This is simply a basic sketch to prepare for painting :). This drawing project has been delayed for a long time due to other things that I'm doing and some external 'force' slowing me down, haha (you know who you are 😭:) ). This drawing has the most complicated perspective lines I've used, like ever 😭:) and the lighting will be very complex too :), not to mention the detailing. On this current process, once I've drawn the sketch of the face, there is no turning back anymore :). On this sketch, the headset won't be included on the final drawing, I just found it interesting, lol. Rose' will also not have her hair visible on the final drawing - no, she won't be bald 😭:). Don't know when this drawing will be completed :). Thanks for looking. Drawn using ps cc, cintiq24hd. Enjoy, kiss someone's cheeks for once 😭:) and sweet dreams :).

:D

I love this guy. One of the Nightmare Batmen from DC METAL. He has yet to actually show up and I am already obsessed.

This is a fast sketch from lunch but I also started another one I would prefer to be nicer....in theory anyway. Chances are I will never finish it lololol seriously. That kind of sucks.
