And always the first thing to fade

Agony and weakness

Nothing we can never evade"

The time by my digital clock says... new year!

I hope 2013 brings you good health, contentment, peace, excitement, happiness, good fortune... and love. Happy, happy new year!

I hate the Texas heat. The 112 Degree temperature here was when the car was parked in the shade. It has actually been a fairly descent year this year, but we have our moments. When someone asks, “How hot is it there? Is it really that hot?” I don’t know how to answer them. I can walk out to 90 degree weather at 12:00 at night and 6:00 in the morning. In the evening when the winds come up it feels like a convection oven. You learn that you can sweat out of pores you didn’t even know had sweat glands. And the thing with heat is that you can only take off so many clothes.

When I was in Canada for Christmas last year, I went out in minus 45 degree weather to take pictures… I was in seventh heaven! Sure I didn’t have to drive in it, but I did shovel the sidewalks to get the experience. People thee thought I’d get real tired of it, but nope! It was so bad last year that it just kind of came to me, “Ya… I’ve had enough. It’s time to move.” Still workin' on that!

The lights on the radio/TV tower works as digital clock.

there is no "pause button" on this tape recorder.

Vancouver Olympic Clock, during the olympics.

Whenever I look at a clock (digital) it always seems like it is 9:11 (am or pm). Of course I look at clocks many other times of the day when it is not 9:11 but do not register the numbers the same way then. maybe just me being weird....

Got the two test rolls of Kodak Portra back today. Results look promising, and I've found that I really love this film.

Another typical shot of home.

Downtown Fort Worth just doesn't look right anymore without the 30 story Landmark Building and its signature 32 foot tall digital clock. The clock was once listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest revolving clock. The clock quit revolving in 1978 and quit keeping time in 1991. The building was built in 1956 and was demolished March 18 2006. A rare downtown tornado struck on March 28 of 2000 and rendered the building with damage that was going to cost more to repair than what the building was worth. What a shame.

I don't know if this clock panel is what you'd call a solari display, but I love it. They still keep it working at the Standard Hotel in downtown LA.

Incase you were wondering when I took this picture.... :-)

I've only recently encountered Hackney Central's big sign. It's got a digital clock on it (not working this afternoon, though it was last night) to signify that it's from the Future.
