Los anisópteros (Anisoptera, del griego ἄνισος ánisos 'desigual' y πτερόν pterón 'ala') son uno de los dos infraórdenes clásicos del suborden Epiprocta. Se conocen comúnmente como libélulas (“caballito del diablo” en Rep. Dominicana, alguacil en Argentina, Uruguay y Paraguay, matapiojos en Chile y Colombia; folelé en las Islas Canarias), aunque este término suele usarse también en un sentido más amplio para designar a todos los odonatos.

This was at the end of a long day . Kevin and I went to Stone Harbor in search of the Snowy there and also the Peregrine. No luck there. I gave a call to Briton as he and Ron were at IBSP looking for the Snowy there. They found it and were in the process of shooting it. Kevin and I went to Forsythe in Brigantine. We got some pics , but not a Snowy. We decided to head to IBSP and hoped the one was still sitting on the dune. It was and we took a bunch of shots and then these two Black Hawk Helicopters flew by and spooked the owl. That's when I got this shot and many more. Thank you Briton for letting us know where you found this beauty.
I took this shot from the top of the dam across the lake. It appears that it landed on the road. This balloon belongs to the owner of Lansdale Florist.
Place: Emerald Lake - Rocky Mountain National Park
Emerald Lake is at the end of one of the trails that starts at Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The trail is roughly 1 1/2 miles in length and has an elevation change of about 650 feet. The lake sits at an elevation of around 10,000 feet.
This shot ended up being a panoramic that was created by stitching 3 vertical shot together using Lightroom CC.

El Parc Nacional d'Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici és un espai natural protegit de l'Alt Pirineu. És un dels catorze parcs de l'Espanya amb la categoria de Parc Nacional i l'únic que hi ha a Catalunya.[1] Fou declarat parc nacional el 21 de novembre de 1955.
Està situat a la part central de la Serralada Pirinenca entre les comarques de l'Alta Ribagorça, el Pallars Sobirà, la Vall d'Aran i el Pallars Jussà. El nucli central del parc està en els termes municipals de la Vall de Boí i Espot.
La geografia del Parc és d'alta muntanya perquè gran part del territori s'alça més amunt dels 1.000 m amb pics que superen els 3.000 m d'altitud. Hi ha gran abundància de llacs d'origen glacial quaternari. Hi destaquen dues valls, a l'oest la vall del riu Sant Nicolau amb els característics prats i meandres d'on ve el nom d'Aigüestortes. I a l'est la vall del riu Escrita amb l'Estany de Sant Maurici.
El Parc té un gran valor biològic. Els grans desnivells que presenta fan que hi hagi diferents ecosistemes: prats, conreus i boscos caducifolis a les cotes més baixes, boscos de fulla perenne a les cotes mitjanes, i prats i rocalls d'alta muntanya a les cotes més altes. El fet que faci molts anys que està protegit així com la seva inaccessibilitat natural ha preservat la flora i la fauna en un estat força salvatge. Malgrat tot l'empremta de l'home és inevitable, el Parc encara és explotat per la ramaderia, el turisme i les centrals hidroelèctriques.
