The bucket of a mechanical digger which, for some unknown reason, was parked on the grass near Caldecotte Lake. It was extremely orange all over.

Experimenting with some indoor toy shots using two sheets of card for work surface/backdrop.

I'm lucky I don't live close to the town centre. The noise made by all these machines is deafening :[

Let's hope they hurry making the new shops.

Although he was quite fearsome looking, Digger Spider was actually quite friendly.

 

Created for the 30th Weekly Contest on Man Ray!

I didn't create the skull sculpture, that was created by Subodh Gupta and is called 'Very Hungry God' - the original skull picture was supplied by Paul Grand as part of the contest. I just manipulated it a little

The rest of the bits were taken around Cologne, including Hahnentor, our garden in fog and an excavator.

At Tower Hill I found a row of road-rail diggers parked in the middle platform. I assume that it wasn't timetabled for them to be there; instead it was the fastest way to get them out of the way when the weekend's engineering works overran. (Metronet late, film @11. (am, the next day))
