Digger is the nickname we give to our soldiers. So many walked, or rolled, proudly through the streets. Including the Papua New Guinea old soldier in splendid headgear

A beautiful little beach on the west side of Anglesey.

Whenever I stopped to take photos Poppy dug big holes in the sand then went running off to find other dogs as play pals.

She loved this beach so much I had a job getting her to leave it. Mind you I didn't want to leave it either.

Liam is a Digger Man. He knows all the noises the trucks make - and when. For instance, when a truck is backing up, it goes, "beep-beep-beep" and when digging, "ehhh-grrrrrr-grrrrr-ee-ee-ee-grrrrr...."

Yesterday, we went down to where they are building a huge new office/retail building in Concord. We sat across the street for at least 45 minutes, watching the crane lift materials to the workers on the top floor, and the backhoes dig holes.

Last night, while eating dinner, he demonstrated for us, the finer nuances of the way a backhoe digs and then deposits its load - complete with sounds - he had all the moves right. He used noodles to demonstrate, and shoveled them out of the bowl and into his mouth.
