To put traveling on the Beartooth highway into words is difficult for me but I will give it a try anyway. Honestly I think it's something every single person should do at least once in their life. The views are simply beyond imagination! The higher you travel the better it gets. If you can drive this highway, DO IT. That's the best I can do :)

Very difficult to photograph, in part because it's tiny, in part because it's very three-dimensional. This is its first blooming for me—it'll be much more floriferous once it's better established.
The color is true—I've never seen an orchid (or any flower) this color before. Olive, more than anything else, with some muddy chartreuse around the edges, with crimson spots and trim on the column. Also an interesting oddity: This is the only Cattleya relative I've ever heard of with a hinged lip! 1.7cm N.S.

It is difficult to image the scale of the cataclysmic eruption that occurred in 79AD that covered much of the southern side of the volcano, including the nearby city of Pompei and the town of Herculaneum. This photograph looking down into the crater attempts to do that. The crater is 500m diameter and the group of people walking along the opposite edge help to show scale. The shear vertical sides of the crater show how much force was forcing up molten rock, pulverised pumice and lava to scour smooth the crater walls. It is estimated that the volcano emitted debris at a rate of 2 cubic KILOMETRES per hour through the night of the eruption.
Difficult then as the question may be we need to look closer at

I am exhausted from it and I have no problem with that. I ought to wimp out on giving the feeling of being worthless. This was like a bolt from the blue. This is all the monkey business you'll want. Objectively, "Blood is thicker than water." As a matter of fact, there are a few features of their avocation that are not necessarily going to be useful to a small number people. Pure Ravishing Skin will really spellbind everybody who sees it.

Shooting the marsh snail at the Cheonggyecheon Plaza is difficult in terms of finding new perspectives. I'm quite happy about this one; it doesn't look like downtown Seoul, but everyone who knows the city should immediately recognize where its taken.

It's very, very difficult to take photos of people standing in front of aquariums. The aquariums are usually lit, and the outside dark. If you use a flash, it badly reflects off the glass. If you don't use a flash, you can see the person, or the fish, but usually not both. So here I used the Sony DSC-H9's night shot feature, which takes IR pictures. It worked, although of course, the photo is B&W.
I also altered this photo, which is something I rarely do. I used a program to "despeckle" the image, making it less grainy and a little more smooth.

This is NOT an altered (PS) picture. It's two of the brothers of the coalition on a very tall termite mound. One is on top and the other still on his way up. When ever I get the chance I LOVE a little humor in my photography and I think qualified.

OK, it was a very difficult one... this is Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar mixed together on a plate. Initially it looks like a mess but if you leave it for 10 or 20 minutes the oil and vinegar start to separate and form very interesting circular patterns. Zoom in close and this is what you get :-)The colour in this picture is the natural colour not changed in anyway.
In actual fact this happened a bit by accident and I grabbed a picture. I was using the oil and vinegar to dip bread into and I believe that many of the dark "bits" you can see are tiny pieces of bread. So I must repeat this process in a "cleaner" manor. So maybe I will post more of these in the future.
n what was probably the least enjoyable game to watch this season, for many reasons, the important fact was that Longridge prevailed and left Turton with all 3 points to return to the top of the West Lancashire League Premier Division.
In a week where West Lancs games have been postponed, and ordered to be replayed after 87 minutes, both sides agreed to play the match over two halves of 40 minutes each.
On a difficult surface, in extremely windy conditions, Turton played to a rigid game plan and the referee struggled to impose his authority from very early on in the game. The tactic however proved successful as, without troubling Lee Dovey in the Town goal,they made it to half time without conceding, nor looking particularly troubled by Town's superior possession.
Crowd favourite Joe Melling had returned to the Longridge side after a recent head injury, and he had a headed half chance at the far post after a Brad Carsley cross that unfortunately came to nothing. In a sign of things to come Town complained that Melling had been stamped on by the Turton keeper, but their appeals came to nothing.
Manager Lee Ashcroft's frustration at both his own side's efforts, and the lack of protection shown to his players by the referee, was obvious as the side's went in 0-0 at half time after exactly 40 minutes.
Longridge now had the strong wind at their backs, and Jack Preston (pictured) was introduced at half time in place of the unfortunate Conor Linighan, whose neat skilful style was not suited to the playing surface. Town were now lined up in a 3-5-2 formation with Preston joining leading scorer Brad Carsley up front.
Carsley and Preston linked well as Town went a little more direct and, after good work from Carsley, Preston stabbed the ball home with 20 minutes remaining to finally give Town the lead that their superiority deserved. In the aftermath however, the Turton keeper clearly punched Ash Ball and was given a straight red card leaving the Home side down to ten men. 0-1 to Town.
This should have resulted in Longridge going on to win the game comfortably, but this wasn't the case as Turton arguably played better with 10 men than 11. However, with Man of the Match Ged Smith controlling play at the back for Town, Lee Dovey was never troubled, and at the other end Longridge failed to test the outfield replacement goalkeeper as the light faded, and the elusive second goal never came, nor was it needed.
As the referee blew the whistle to end a particularly frustrating game, Mark Woods was shown a red card, presumably for something he said after the game had ended. Who knows....it was that kind of game!
After the match Manager Lee Ashcroft was rightly just pleased that his side were leaving with 3 points, " I've not a lot to say really. I suppose the cliche is that you need to win games like that if you are going to win League titles, but there is not a lot of satisfaction aside from that. I feel for my lads because they've worked hard with everything against them tonight, in very difficult circumstances, and I'm just delighted to get out of here with the 3 points. We've no game on Saturday, nor have Turton, so maybe we could have played the game at the weekend, I don't know. It's 3 points and I'll draw a line under it."

It's been difficult without internet and own transport to get around here. I haven't been able to photograph the things I wanted. Got my Residential Permit last week and waiting for a Qatari driving licence now. Will be able to purchase a car soon and be independent. The most difficult part about photographing a dark eyed saint bernard with a black mask (or any dark eyed, black faced dog) is getting it to look like they have eyes. I believe this beast here was sleeping, so his eyes were closed but when he's awake, unless you get him in the bright sun, his dark mask blends with dark eyes.

Determined Bangor grab vital win against Ballyclare

In difficult playing conditions, it was Bangor who dominated and took their opportunities to win by 13-3, and close the gap to their rivals in this thrilling league contest.
At last the waiting was over and the two contenders for this season’s league title finally got to face up to each other in this crucial game for both sides. In difficult conditions, it was Bangor who took their opportunities to win by 13-3, and close the gap to their rivals to 3 points, with 2 games in hand.
With both sides fielding strong teams, and the internet pundits split on which way they reckoned the game would go, this was the pick of the QL2 fixtures with no clear favourite. Obviously home advantage would play its part, but the cold and wet weather coupled with a heavy pitch would add to the complexity of the situation.
Ballyclare got the game underway, playing into the breeze. From the outset, the home side were determined not to let Ballyclare get a foothold. Sensible, close quarter play saw Bangor move into the Ballyclare half and remain there for much of first half. However, Ballyclare’s defence, when called upon, was sound and withstood everything that was thrown at them. The eagerly awaited battle of the packs did not disappoint, with Ballyclare holding the normally rampant Bangor driving maul. However, the early indications were that Bangor had the upper hand in the scrums, having turned and disrupted them on Ballyclare’s put-in on a number of occasions.
The first score came mid-way through the half, when Chris Morgan converted a penalty from far out on the right hand side, making it 3-0.
Shortly afterwards, on 28 minutes, the Ballyclare hooker suffered a bad ankle injury and had to leave the field of play. Losing any player in a QL2 game is a major set-back, however it could be argued that this might have been worse for Ballyclare. With no hooker, the remainder of the game would be played with uncontested scrums, thus ensuring good possession for Ballyclare in this area – something that had been missing up to this point.
As the referee blew for half time, and with the score still at 3-0 for Bangor, there were anxious faces on the touchline, worried that this would not be enough of a lead when now playing into the wind.
Thankfully this worry appeared to be confined to the touchline, as Bangor restarted the second half in the same vein as the first. They were rewarded with another penalty after just 5 minutes, this time in front of the posts which Morgan again converted, doubling the lead to 6-0.
Just 7 minutes later, Ballyclare were awarded a penalty – in front of the posts, but quite a distance out. The well-taken kick just carried enough distance to go over, and reduce the deficit to 6-3.
Although the rain had all but stopped, and the wind eased, the players were all now suffering from the cold, resulting in many handling mistakes for both sides. However, it is testament to the fitness of both sides that the game never appeared to be running out of steam, and anything could happen before it was all over.
With just 2 minutes of normal playing time remaining, the constant harrying by the Bangor forwards finally forced the handling error in the Ballyclare line that provided the game’s decisive moment. Pouncing on a loose Ballyclare ball, Bangor prop Chris Schofield booted the ball through and set off in pursuit. The stunned Ballyclare defence was wrong footed, allowing Schofield, showing a tidy turn of speed, to touch down under the Ballyclare posts. Morgan’s simple conversion added the extras, extending Bangor’s lead to 13-3 and thus, more importantly, depriving Ballyclare of a losing bonus point which, up to this time had looked the likely outcome.
Although Ballyclare hurried back to try and add to their points tally, sensible positional play from Bangor, especially by out-half Jason Morgan, kept Ballyclare in their own half and denied them any further realistic opportunities. As the referee blew for full time, Bangor knew that their league destiny was now in their own hands.
Although this was a highly significant victory, there are still a number of testing games ahead, before playing the return away fixture against Ballyclare at the close of the league competition. Ballyclare may feel disappointed by the result, but all is not lost for them, especially as they contest the Towns Cup semi-final next week, and have fewer, more straightforward games left in their closing run in the league.

Intermediates will enjoy how they can progress rapidly with the Contact 8, the blend of forgiving but sporty flex, a large, carve-orientated side-cut and reasonable platform all amount to a ski that is without fault for its target user. More advanced skiers may want to move up the range somewhat, but if you love cruising blues and reds, perhaps with the odd difficult run thrown in during a week then give the Contact 8 a go.

How can I express the texture of the petals with the best depth of fields. This time I chose 200mm f/4.0, and closed up to one Iris.
