Forever falling night is a known

Star and country to the legion

Of sleepers whose tongue I toll.

There was a boy with skin as dark as the earth & a girl with eyes as blue as the deep & they loved each other so well that people could not tell them apart, for in their hearts, there was no difference between them. ~Story People

A split picture screen capture showing the difference between 2 different f-stops. The blurry side of the picture is the goal we are trying to achieve in this assignment.

The picture on the left was taken with an f-num of f-5.6. The one on the right was with f-36. The two pictures are a good contrast between a narrow depth of field on the left and a wide depth of field on the right. To me the most important thing I can point out is the diffraction that is present in the right picture. Diffraction becomes visible in pictures with f-nums of f-22 or greater. If you look at the number "57" in both pictures, the one on the right isn't as sharp. The edges have a fuzziness to them and just isn't as crisp as the one on the left. Also the number on the right looks a little faded. The black has a little gray in it. The one on the left is a deep black with crisp edges.
