The Seattle Sounders FC defeated the LA Galaxy 4-0 at CenturyLink Field. It was a long and frustrating night for the Galaxy.

I really loved the way this turned out with the different layers of light and shadow, focus and out of focus. And, amazingly, totally on purpose. :)
Having just seen some shots from one of Cat's colleagues flickr page (fresh from Queen's Park, Invercargill) reminds me of the completely different landscapes between the two countries.
Charles Babbage (1791-1871), computer pioneer, designed the first automatic computing engines. He invented computers but failed to build them. The first complete Babbage Engine was completed in London in 2002, 153 years after it was designed. Difference Engine No. 2, built faithfully to the original drawings, consists of 8,000 parts, weighs five tons, and measures 11 feet long.
Engine completed in March 2008 is on display at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California until May 2009.
Some photos from my afternoon
visit to the chicken shack. I go out 3 times a day to check on them. Once in
the morning to make sure they still have feed, and check their water. Once
in the afternoon for a visit. Sometimes I bring them a treat. Like today I
brought out Yogurt. And Once more before bed

There is nowhere you can go and only be with people who are like you. Give it up.
