My second in the series of last nights sunset, to show what a difference 5 minutes can make! The reds took over the sky and the waves started coming in a bit faster, all beginning to change the scene. I love seascape photography for many reasons, mainly as you can make of it what you will using your creativity combined with the conditions nature gives you.
I really over-scheduled myself on this day. It started out early and was 100% full of photography activity! I don't remember having a spare 5 minutes just to sit there and zone out.... I do try to plan a little zone-out time, but this day I didn't. I kind of build my day like I was playing an RTS game, making sure I never had any idle workers.
After I got off the tube at Marylebone station, I exited into this scene. This is the little area I crossed every day to get from the tube into my hotel. It looked so perfect in the rain that I just had to take a photo...even though I was dog-tired.

A close comparison shot of a black-headed gull (rear) and a Mediterranean gull in winter plumage. The bill of the latter is heavier and it's hood remnants extend closer to the back of the head. However, the most obvious difference is the wings, with obvious black tips for the black-headed gull.

St Maarten and St Martin - Caribbean - Dutch and French
What is the difference between St Maarten and St Martin?
During the 17th Century there was intermittent rivalry between the Dutch and French for control of the island and its salt mines. In 1648 the two countries signed the Treaty of Concordia which divided the island in two and urged its people to live in a cooperative manner.
Saint Martin (French: Saint-Martin; Dutch: Sint Maarten) is an island in the northeast Caribbean Sea, approximately 300 km (190 mi) east of Puerto Rico. The 87-square-kilometre (34 sq mi) island is divided roughly 60:40 between the French Republic (53 km2, 20 sq mi)[1] and the Kingdom of the Netherlands (34 km2, 13 sq mi),[2] but the two parts are roughly equal in population. The division dates to 1648. The southern Dutch part comprises Sint Maarten and is one of four constituent countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The northern French part comprises the Collectivity of Saint Martin and is an overseas collectivity of the French Republic. As part of France, the French part of the island is also part of the European Union.
Shuwaikh port - Kuwait
The photograph shows a bit of the indifference in the municipality's supervision on coastal locations in Kuwait. As you can see, the beach is full of rubbish and dirt which has destroyed the natural look of the sand. Making the place somehow unusable. Anyway, it is also related to the people's awareness of this subject. I think multimedia means in the country must pay attention to this problem and raise people's awareness.
Technical Data:
It is not a HDR photograph, the bottom part is exposed by hitting a lot of flashes - which made me blind =D - by me and my friend. The white balance was taken down to 2700 to give this pinkish mood to the photo. Long exposure was used in order to prevent noise from high ISO and to give a special effect to the water.

A Volvo PV544 in Langen. According to Wikipedia, "In 1958, the PV544 was phased in. Subtle differences with the PV444 included the introduction of a curved one-piece windshield to replace the two panes of flat glass, larger taillights, and a ribbon-type speedometer. "

What a difference getting a few shots in the sunshine makes.

Metrobus WS124 (SK19FBE) on Route 227 passing MEC58 (BF65HUZ) on the hill by Bromley Magistrates Court.
This highlights the differences between the two "full size" buses that Metrobus have for the two Shortlands routes.
The University Club building was built in 1931 and was a fraternal organization for men. The building closed in 2008, caught fire in 2013 and was demolished the next day.

There are only 3-colors, 10-digits, and 7-notes in my life now but not too long ago those numbers were each in trillions.
Funny how one person can make all that difference.
Taking this shot on the Manhattan sail coco and jazz was so much fun. I love how you can see the size difference between these two.

As nouns the difference between portrait and profile is that portrait is a painting or other picture of a person, especially the head and shoulders while profile is the outermost shape, view, or edge of an object.
In these "Covid times", stay safe, stay home, get vaccinated when you can.
Spot the difference! This is the countryside, nature as intended.. not that the nature found in the city's parks isn't beautiful... but far outside the city's walls you'll find just that extra bit of extra magic.

I am in the small town of Dubois, WY tonight. It is 80 miles from Yellowstone National Park, which is where we are heading in the morning.
This is what I see behind the motel we are in.
The difference between the two of them is pretty accurate in this picture. Londyn is just so tiny compared to Brooklyn. Brooklyn does not have ankles. She has "fankles" aka fat ankles. I think she has my ankles at the end of my pregnancy.
Last doc's visit there was a 2 pound difference between them but I'm curious to see if next time the difference will be greater.

When I lived in Lakeview, Oregon during 1985-1986, I discovered that trackside access to the Southern Pacific branchline into town was somewhat limited. There was an infamous sinkhole seven miles south of town at milepost 505 that was adjacent to a county road. It was the last public access to the right of way north of the state line. As such, I recorded a fair collection of photos there.
These two shots show the differences that took place in a seven month span. On a Tuesday night in August 1985, I caught SP's Lakeview Local rolling timetable westbound at MP 505. Although I couldn't have imagined it at the time, eight years later I would get to ride in the GP9 pulling this train from Woodburn to Salem via Silverton on the new Willamette Valley Railway.
In January 1986, SP sold the Lakeview Branch to Lake County Oregon as a shortline. The county hired Great Western Railroad of Colorado to operate the new shortline. Severe storms during February 1986 caused so much damage that GWR was out of service for three weeks making repairs. Fortunately, GWR had stockpiled empties in Lakeview, so they were able to spot cars for loading during most of the time they were out of service.
Once the branch was reopened, I caught the first GWR train out of Lakeview down at MP 505 on March 4th. It was nice that the train departed town during my lunch hour! Aside from the lack of a caboose and the paint on the locomotive, the image was very similar to what I had seen the previous summer.

What a difference a week makes. I took this at Beer in Devon last Sunday and although the sky was blue and the sun was shining, the wind was so cold, no-one, but no-one would have been sitting on the beach. Wind forward one week and it was blazing hot and everyone was heading for the beach over the holiday weekend. The scenes on TV showing Bournemouth beaches made me shudder: not one inch of spare sand could be seen with all the people on the beaches. They reckoned they had 100,000 visitors over the weekend.
A foggy morning at low tide. Given that the Bay of Fundy has the world's highest tides, it's not surprising that we have North America's only tidal generation power station right in Annapolis Royal. This image shows the downstream section of the Annapolis river at the mouth of the bay; the white is foam, not ice, although it's often difficult to tell the difference. It's somehow comforting to know that much of the town's power comes from the ebb and flow of the tide, creating a tiny footprint - the plant itself is very small and very low-tech. It has been operating since 1984.
In the amount of traffic in two locations. This is the Norfolk Southern Crescent Line in Laurel, MS. It's the same line I fan in Greensboro, NC. Greensboro gets a LOT more traffic... but I liked Laurel and will go back again. : )
Following building the C-2A(R) Greyhound I thought I'd build the mother of it being the E-2C Hawkeye. A few BrickLink orders allowed me to finish the fine details in this aircraft. The differences between the Greyhound and Hawkeye allowed me to improve features on which are shared and trial new techniques that I have found.

As the evening began to kick in the pair of Stone Curlew (Burhinus oedicnemus insularum) got more active, giving some stunning views in the process, in stark contrast to the distant views we can get of the ones that breed in the UK.
