i love film. i love a crappy camera and it's quirks. but...i hate scanning and i hate it when you run a film through a camera over a period of time, pay for processing, take the tedious time to scan the things and then find you're left with a pile of shit.
so, i'm not terribly pleased that out of two films i had developed last weekend, i have precisely three shots i like. this is one of them. and people wonder why i use my iphone so much these days.

quando si è a dieta dimagrante si cucina molto di più....
Ricetta per 3 persone:
200 gr di riso RB
2 zucchine grandi o 4 piccole
2 scatolette piccole di tonno sott'olio
1 pomodoro da insalata
1 paio di cetriolini sott'aceto o una manciata di capperi
3 cucchiai di olio extra vergine
1 cucchiaio d'aceto
sale
pulire e affettare le zucchine a rondelle e cuocerle in padella con un solo cucchiaio scarso d'olio e il sale q.b, in modo da avere una griglitura umida
lessare il riso e nel frattempo sgocciolare e sminuzzare il tonno
affettare il pomodoro
una volta cotto e colato il riso condirlo con 2 cucchiai d'olio e 1 d'aceto
aggiungere il tonno, le zucchine e il pomodoro
mescolare bene ma leggermente il tutto
unirvi i cetriolini affettati sottili o qualche cappero
porre in frigo fino al momento di servirlo

I had to bring Paco into the hospital today for a laparotomy. He is suffering from a Protein Losing Enteropathie (PLE). This is a very, very serious disease. He has lost nearly 14 kg weight in 3 weeks.
He has to stay at the hospital until at least next sunday. Then we will go on fighting against this severe illness at home.
Update 09/06: Paco is back home. Now he first has to recover from the operation.

Update 09/12: Paco is recovering from the operation. Tomorrow the doctor will take the stiches out. Afterwards he will have to take cyclosporine against the inflammation and has to keep a very strikt diet. He is suffering from intestinal lymphangiektasia, which is an autoimmune disease of the bowel and causes the protein losing and diarrhea.
Update 10/27: Thank you all so very much for your thoughts and good wishes! Paco is quite good at the moment. He has no more diarrhea and is increasing weight. He only may eat a very special diet, nothing else - which is very hard for him as he is always hungry. ;-)
I found this convenient place to set my Diet Coke whilst I was photographing today.
9/5/09: Update, this angel had been in the greenhouse for years, but this week someone broke one of the wings off, so now it's gone. :-(
