The Devourer was first spotted in the outer borders of M.A.N.T.I.S. territories, near planet Guinevere, sector A06. Not much is know about this vessel, but it seems to be some sort of symbiotic relation between the ship itself and a sort of tentacular creature. It attach to ships' hulls with the tentacles and fire energy weapons that cut deep inside its victims, through armourings and shields, vaporizing anything in its path. The creature then sucks and nourishes from the hot gaseous matter.

Concludo la serie di immagini del Botswana con questa per due motivi: ritrae l'animale che più mi ha emozionato nel corso del viaggio e perchè irrealizzabile con le macchine fotografiche che ho avuto in precedenza. Scattata in formato RAW, senza alcuna riduzione del rumore in post-produzione. Aggiungo, tanto per non far torto a nessuno, l'immagine di una leonessa in atteggiamento aggressivo vicino ad una carcassa di ippopotamo sulla quale si sono già avventate alcune sorelle.
I've chosen this picture as the last of the series from Botswana for two different reasons: because this is the animal that most excited me during the entire trip, and because I would not be able to take this picture with the cameras that I had previously. Taken in RAW format, without any noise reduction in post-production. In addiction, the image of a lioness in aggressive behavior not so far from the carcass of a hippo that the sisters are already devouring.
This is the Queen of the Seronera pride. She is one of the senior and mature of the pride and is in the front of the hunting group.
The rest of the wildebeest herd were standing dangerously close by watching the lion pride devouring one of their own, she was quick enough to charge them and brought down another one within 50 feet of this sight.

I have mixed feeling about this shot, I find this quite unappealing.lol so i might delete this hours later if my ficklemindedness acts up.The plant looks exotic though, is it a some kinda carnivorous plant? Btw guys, this shall be my final macro shot I promise.
I posted my previous, recent macro shots at a local forum and they commented the photos are too contrasty and overprocessed and too artistic for standard macro. However, I hope I can provide a new perspective to the macro sphere. Artistry is what I aim for in every work so I hope I'm not letting anyone here down.

A walkabout through the Hood and this view popped like a quality pop corn kernel waiting to be devoured.
This is the result of editing while listening to London Grammar. Anyway, I think this was only to be expected after all the cute lovable baby pics.
It's funny... I'm currently in the middle of putting together a collection about a girl with split personality, and this wasn't apart of the concept. I was talking to Dani randomly, and in the corner of my eye, I saw these vines growing along those freeway/highway post. I instantly thought of being devoured (don't question me). I asked her if she would be willing to pose there for a few minutes. No hesitation, she stuck her arm through the vines. I ripped some off the ground and put some on her.
Post processing took several hours, and I'm quite delighted with the outcome. She loved it as well. It's been quite a long time since I did something conceptual / compositing. Kind of miss it.
