A walkabout through the Hood and this view popped like a quality pop corn kernel waiting to be devoured.
I fell in love with Mother Lubber last summer. I looked forward to seeing her each morning and she seemed to look forward to seeing me... poking her head out when I failed to notice her.
At the end of the summer, Mother Lubber climbed down to the ground, dug a shallow hole and deposited her eggs in it. And they're hatching out! The first day I saw a few in the lower leaves but now hundreds of them are devouring the plant, climbing over each other to get their share!
Love the leg treading in air. That's just what Mother Lubber did whenever the light of my flash hit her. Like Mother, like Nymph, I guess.

This is the result of editing while listening to London Grammar. Anyway, I think this was only to be expected after all the cute lovable baby pics.
It's funny... I'm currently in the middle of putting together a collection about a girl with split personality, and this wasn't apart of the concept. I was talking to Dani randomly, and in the corner of my eye, I saw these vines growing along those freeway/highway post. I instantly thought of being devoured (don't question me). I asked her if she would be willing to pose there for a few minutes. No hesitation, she stuck her arm through the vines. I ripped some off the ground and put some on her.
Post processing took several hours, and I'm quite delighted with the outcome. She loved it as well. It's been quite a long time since I did something conceptual / compositing. Kind of miss it.

The Devourer was first spotted in the outer borders of M.A.N.T.I.S. territories, near planet Guinevere, sector A06. Not much is know about this vessel, but it seems to be some sort of symbiotic relation between the ship itself and a sort of tentacular creature. It attach to ships' hulls with the tentacles and fire energy weapons that cut deep inside its victims, through armourings and shields, vaporizing anything in its path. The creature then sucks and nourishes from the hot gaseous matter.
