You seem to be fully devoted to Photoshop. What attracted you the most when you opened the Photoshop for the first time?
I think it was the ability to do realistic drop shadows that first got my attention. What a surprise when I found i could do way more.
You have worked with so many versions of Photoshop. What do you think of the gradual progress of the software?
I started on vs 2.5. 3.0 was a Godsend with the ability to add layers. Then in 4-5 there was a lot of emphasis on making things editable and easier to add effects. 5.5 - Was all about the web. 6.0 was a major upgrade, taking web and type to the next level. The big thing on 7.0 was OSX and XP native support. 7 has some really sweet productivity tools and is excellent for the digital photographer with things like the file browser, healing brush etc. Where will it go from here? Hmm my guess is perhaps digital video and closer integration with after effects. I would really like to see Imageready integrated into Photoshop.
As a professional, what feature of the Photoshop you think unbeatable?
The biggest thing Photoshop has over the competition is excellent stability, flexibility and a huge feature-set. Also the fact that it is industry standard is very important, this way it ensures that there will always be an excellent support base around the product.

Thomas Hart Benton, Born Neosho, MO 1889-
died 1975 Kansas City, MO
Achelous and Hercules, 1947, tempera and oil on canvas mounted on plywood, 62 7⁄8 x 264 1⁄8 in.
Intense colors and writhing forms evoke the contest of muscle and will between Hercules and Achelous, the Greek god who ruled over the rivers. In flood season, Achelous took on the form of an angry bull, tearing new channels through the earth with his horns. Hercules defeated him by tearing off one horn, which became nature's cornucopia, or horn of plenty. Thomas Hart Benton saw the legend as a parable of his beloved Midwest. The Army Corps of Engineers had begun efforts to control the Missouri River, and Benton imagined a future when the waterway was tamed, and the earth swelled with robust harvests.
Benton's mythic scene also touched on the most compelling events of the late 1940s. America's agricultural treasure was airlifted to Europe through the Marshall Plan as part of Truman's strategy to rebuild Europe and contain communism. Benton may have been thinking of his fellow Missourian's legendary stubbornness when he described Hercules as "tough and strong" with "a reputation for doing what he thought was right."
An American scene painter who, along with John Steuart Curry and Grant Wood, was a leading regionalist painter of the 1930s. Well known for his murals and portraits depicting everyday life, particularly in the Midwest, Benton authored two autobiographies, An Artist in America (1937) and An American in Art (1969).

Since 1968, the National Portrait Gallery has been housed in the former Patent Office building, a structure designed by Robert Mills in the neoclassical style and built between 1836-1867. This historic building, which is the third oldest government building in the city, is shared with another Smithsonian museum, the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The building's marble and granite porticos are inspired by those of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece.
An undulating steel and glass canopy wows visitors who enter the Kogod Courtyard. Inside you’ll find diners from the museum’s café, tourists soaking their weary feet in the shallow fountain running across the space, and students taking advantage of free Wi-Fi in the light and airy setting. The modern roof seals the center of the old Patent Office Building, currently shared by the National Portrait Gallery and American Art Museum. Architect Norman Foster designed the roof to have minimal impact on the building by creating a support system that prevents direct contact and weight placement on it. Unlike most of the other Smithsonian Museums located on the Mall, this gem is found in the busy Penn Quarter of downtown D.C. It is a favorite place to bring visitors, not only for the impressive courtyard space, but also for the preserved architecture of the patent offices on the top floor. Check the Smithsonian’s website for special courtyard workshops, concerts, or events. The museum is right near the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro on the green, yellow, and red lines.
The Smithsonian American Art Museum showcases rotating exhibits, which have previously exposed visitors to work created in response to the Vietnam War, glasswork, native women artists and more. The Smithsonian American Art Museum also operates a separate branch, the Renwick Gallery, devoted to contemporary craft and decorative arts.
