The Rwanda Development Board through its Chief Skills Office in partnership with the German Development Corporation and the Huye District administration today launched the Huye Employment Service Center as part of the Public Employment Service Centers being established in different secondary cities of the country. This is in line with the government’s target to curb unemployment and create 1.5 million jobs by 2024.
The Huye center follows two other centers that were launched in Kigali and Musanze. The RDB Chief skills office also unveiled two buses which will provide Mobile Employment Services nationwide.
The solar-powered buses and centers are equipped with laptops and printers, allowing people to search for jobs on RDB’s online job portal, kora.rw as well as receive career guidance from employment professionals. The devices are also user friendly and equipped to facilitate applicants with disabilities such as the blind.

To get Goodwill of Middle TN where it needed to be, we began our process by aligning interactive solutions with Goodwill’s clear organization objectives, and we’re proud to say that Goodwill met these objectives! The interactive strategy led to instant results via the creation of a Content Management System that allowed the Goodwill team members to easily manage and control the content of the site themselves. And to focus on the needs of Goodwill’s audience, we built the site to meet web accessibility standards for the visually impaired.
I am repeatedly amazed by Lake Las Vegas, the development shown in this picture. It comes across as a very explicit statement of having no concern about the environment. (A slightly different perspective than an adjacent photo taken a few years ago)
If you lived in one of the four story complexes near the dam, your view to the east would be to a boat ramp similar to the one shown in the next picture -- the water level of Lake Mead is 115 feet below what it was in 2000.
