The ILO Deputy Director General(Policy) International Labour Organization Deborah Greenfield, who is on an official visit to India, met with Hon’ble Union Minister for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Drinking Water & Sanitation, Narendra Singh Tomar, today. The DDG appreciated the ongoing Flagship programmes of MORD such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-Grameen) and thanked Government of India for launching these initiatives which not only address the basic subsistence needs of the rural poor but also effectively contribute to employment creation, poverty alleviation and inclusive growth. Together they launched the ILO training manuals and Mobile App for Road Maintenance “Aarambh"

On September 2, 2014 the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) hosted Congressman John K. Delaney and the Honorable Thomas E. Perez, United States Secretary of Labor, for a forum on the topic of workforce development entitled, “Preparing Today for Tomorrow’s Success.” In addition to Congressman Delaney and Secretary Perez, panelists included: Dr. DeRionne P. Pollard, President of Montgomery College; Mr. Diego Uriburu, Executive Director of Identity Inc.; and Mr. Patrick J. Caulfield, co-owner of Coakley & Williams Construction Inc. The panel discussion was moderated by USG’s Executive Director, Dr. Stewart Edelstein.

The shell of the Grade II listed buildings on Piccadilly and Half Moon Street (c1750s). A planning app. from 2017 reveals a desire that this and the area be a 102 room hotel with spa, swimming pool, et al. whilst retaining the front facade. There seems to have been a number of oppositions to the plans but it seems it has got the go ahead. Stepped back from the road, and out of sight, is Cambridge House, a Grade I listed townhouse.
This is some of the new residential development that is currently taking place in the Urbana master planned community, located in the Southern part of Frederick County, Maryland, USA, about five (5) miles South of the City of Frederick to the North, and also about five (5) miles North of the Montgomery County, Maryland line to the South. The Urbana master planned community was started in the year 1999, and currently has a population of about 10,000 people, and is growing relatively fast in population. The Urbana, Maryland master planned community is a relatively affluent, very family oriented community with a young and diverse population. We currently live in the Urbana master planned community, in a house that was brand new when we moved in almost a year and a half ago, in late August of the year 2011, from our longtime home in the city of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, USA. The City of Frederick, Maryland is the county seat and largest, principal city of Frederick County, Maryland, USA, located in the Central part of the county, and has a young and diverse population of about 66,000 people, and is growing relatively fast in population. Frederick County, Maryland, USA is located two counties North of Washington, DC, and shares its opposite, Northern border with the neighboring Eastern U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Frederick County, Maryland is currently the eighth most populated of Maryland's 24 counties, with a current population of about 237,000 people, and is growing relatively fast in population, due to both its location as an outer suburban commuting area for Washington, DC and its inner suburbs, as well as to its strong, growing economy in its own right. Located in between Frederick County, Maryland and Washington, DC itself is the heavily populated Montgomery County, Maryland, with a diverse and relatively fast growing population of about 990,000 people, making it the most populated county in the U.S. state of Maryland, and the second most populated county in the vast Washington, DC-Baltimore metropolitan area, behind neighboring Fairfax County, Virginia, which in turn has an also diverse and relatively fast growing population of about 1.1 million people, and is the U.S. state of Virginia's most populated county, as well. Agribusiness Development Activity is aimed at the transformation from ineffective subsistence farming to commercial, profitable agribusiness through the disbursement of matching grants and the provision of technical and market information assistance. Grants are awarded through competition on the co-financing basis for the development of small value-adding enterprises, farm service centers, value chain and primary production in any region of Georgia. The project will help develop agribusiness and create new job opportunities.

This public fórum, held on 23 April 2018 in Maputo, shared the results of the report on the business landscape for Mozambican manufacturing firms.
The event shed light on the current challenges faced by micro-, small- and medium-sized firms in the country’s manufacturing sector — and how policy can tackle these issues to allow firms to thrive. Special attention was paid to the business environment in which these enterprises operate.
