Students perform a drama which demonstrates the important of the sanitation at Maskoke Primely and Secondly School in Gode Town in Somali region of Ethiopia 11 February 2014. In Somali Region water supply coverage is estimated at 59.7%, lower than the national average of 68.5%. The need for water supply normally increases in the dry season, especially at the time of drought such as in recent years. However, the technical and organizational capacity of the Somali Regional State Water Resources Development Bureau (SRWDB) the government agency responsible for water supply and facilities management in the region to satisfy the water supply need is not adequate to cope with the situation. Donor agencies and NGOs are making efforts to ameliorate the situation by constructing and repairing water supply facilities across the region, supplying water by water trucks during chronic shortages, but the supply is still significantly below the demand.

Susan singing in the women's prison choir.
"My name is Susan Kigula from Victoria women`s prison, in Uganda. My imprisonment has been a blessing in disguise because that’s where I studied and sat for my A level examinations and now I am studying for Diploma in Common Law with the University of London. I would like to extend my endless thanks to APP without which I wouldn’t have accessed the University of London Law Programme. On this International Women`s Day, I wish to appeal to all women organizations around the world to support women in prison especially those who still have plans to continue with their education like APP is doing."

'Shoreline Development' This series of photos is of the first part of the development to be nearing completion. Ultimately the complex will occupy the foreshore from here to Folkestone Harbour with similar blocks of apartments. They may be described as luxury - the website indicates that a 1 bedroom apartment will be on sale at nearly half a million £s. This does include parking space in the basement. Current locals have a Marmite attitude to the development.

Spc. Joseph Callaway, left, and Sgt. Christopher Peterson, both with the 89th Sustainment Brigade, work on a VSAT during Combat Support Training Exercise 86-16-03 at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, in August 2016. The VSAT illustrates an unusual feature of SATCOM acquisition: Because satellite technology is constantly evolving and industry is continuously investigating new applications, few of the products and programs under Stein’s purview leave the developmental phase. While sustaining the current equipment, the VSAT team is already working on the requirements for the next tactical satellite terminal. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. John Russell, 86th Training Division)
