This is my Mini Modular version of the LEGO Creator Detective's Office modular building.

I forgot that I got 15 issues of these last week so I didn't show them off! This run has been really cool. I love that we have an all Bat-family team, but I think the greatest part of this series is Clayface and how he's trying to become a good guy, which I think it's pretty cool. Make sure to check it out if you can!
I bet you're wondering why I'm only showing off my DC collections, and that's just because I have more of them, not because I like them significantly more that Marvel (I only like them a tiiiiny bit) but since most DC comics get new issues twice a month instead of once a month, I don't have enough issues in a Marvel series to really call it a "collection." Maybe I'll show off all my Ant-Man comics now that I got a lot more for Christmas...

Here is another vignette based on the Arkham Video Games.
This build features the detective mode, one of the key features in the Arkham Games. In the games, some attributes are marked in orange which means you can do something with it, like the ventage points on top of the build, the ventilation areas that are on the ground or the weak wall which you can destroy using explosive gel. Armed henchmen are also marked in orange.
I only wish I had an orange colored Brickarm, because weapons are also marked orange in the game.

I did some head shots for actor Christian Krushel. I happened to have a toy pistol on loan from a friend and Christian indulged me and played the Film Noir detective for me. I put a speedlight outside on the balcony and pointed it up at the venetian blind covered patio door. I sprayed water onto the glass to make it look like it was a rainy night, and he was spying on someone on the street below.

Shot for Strobist 102 4.2 assignment. I tried the horizontal-slit snoot (or gobo? snoobo?) described in the blog to get harder edges but it restricted the light a bit too much.

Rise and Aoto found some mysterious candies outside and Aoto is keen to get to the bottom of this mystery. (Rise is babysitting.)

When we last left Detective Ace Brickman, he had just discovered a secret passage that leads into the barber shop. Once inside the barber shop, he discovered a hidden compartment that contained a barrel full of more cookies. Even though cookies are illegal in the Detective's Office building, Ace loves cookies. So he ate a couple and then grabbed one to take back to his office as "evidence" :-)
Another story in the "Non Story of Ace Brickman". It doesn't show up well in the photo but the hidden compartment is on the right side of the picture next to Ace.
I really don't have a story planned out but I'm enjoying taking these black and white photos so much, that I just keep going :-)

Watching the Detectives was one of the highlights of his debut album My Aim is True from 1977. Initially promoted as a punk artist, Costello was an accomplished musician who has recorded in multiple genres from punk, new wave, blues, classical, rock and jazz.
