Paris; Collège des Bernardins
The Collège of Bernardins, or Collège Saint-Bernard, located no 20, rue de Poissy in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, is a former Cistercian college of the historic University of Paris. Founded by Stephen of Lexington, abbot of Clairvaux, and built from 1248 with the encouragement of Pope Innocent IV, it served until the French Revolution as the residence for the Cistercian monks, students at the University of Paris.
After an overall renovation completed in September 2008, it is now a place for meetings, dialogues, training and culture, offering a rich program of public conferences and symposia, exhibitions, concerts, activities for young people and a theological and biblical studies center. Since 2009, it houses the Académie catholique de France.
It has been the subject of a classification for French historical monuments since 10 February 1871.

You’re sitting in the Jardin des Tuileries, and you might not immediately realise that you’re right on one of Paris’s most important sightlines.
From the Louvre, a single straight axis runs through the garden, past the Obélisque de Louxor and the Arc de Triomphe, all the way to La Défense.
This line was designed deliberately.
Not as decoration, but to give the city order, direction, and coherence.
What makes this scene so strong is the contrast:
people simply sitting, talking, or watching, while behind them centuries of history and power align along a single view.
Paris isn’t loud or overwhelming here.
It’s calm, logical, and quietly self-evident.

Once again, something I finished over the past weekend and only now have been able to render. This plane is my first foray into 1:100 scale, something I've considered for some time now at Kiosk's behest. It turned out alright. Not perfect, but good enough that I can post it without shame. In the future, I'm sure I'll improve.
Fluff: The Des-32 was Cimmeria's first supersonic strategic bomber. However, it wasn't initially designed as a bomb platform, but rather a missile platform. That hasn't stopped anyone from putting the KNAF's ridiculously huge 9000kg bomb in its weapons bay, though. Despite its introduction in the early 1960s, this plane's attributes remain somewhat unknown to the outside world. It's clear that the pilot doesn't have a good view over the long nose, that swept-wings require a high landing speed, and that its got a refueling boom on the nose, but otherwise, it is a mystery. They have yet to be used in combat, despite being slated for replacement in the near future.

24 meters long, breaking down to a corridor of 12 meters which appears as two synchronized stone rows, with the interstitial spaces filled with dry stone wall, some of origin. Here, pre renovation photographs are required to monitor for 'interpretation'. The tumulus is clearly visible on a lower image and is 35 meters in circumference and maybe 2.5 meters high.. The tumulus is on a tight 'micro hill' with there being two further burial cists in this local zone ('Morrel das Morts' - bronze age and thus the site had at least 1,600 years of occupation). The antichambre is something to look for on an 'Allée couverte' and here it is 6 meters long and under a preserved table (the main stone visible above). The table of the antichamber is not held up by traditional lateral orthostates, rather by a series of tall columns (reminiscent of Spanish sites eg Dolmen de Sorginetxe). The entrance to the antichamber are marked by a stone carved with a circular form, offering an idea of a window. The exit has two open doors with their own curved and artistic opening. These two 'doors' open into a final chamber. visible above left and again around 6 meters in length. As it is an 'allée couverte' rather than a dolmen, the table remains a 'dalle de couverture' even if it is estimated at 25 to 30 tonnes (4.5 x 3.1 meters). An interesting point uis that whilst most of the stone for construction was local, this cover stone was carried some 3 kilometers. I could see no sign of other 'tables'.
There is a relevant debate with local archaeologists refusing the term 'Allée couverte' (covered passage/avenue). This is of great interest as there is a tendency to see all megaliths as having been covered. From my experience the covering of a 'dolmen' is simply a variable for the decision of the occasion : some tables left visible, others fully covered and some megaliths left standing without cover. The observation with the Dolmen des Fades is that it was never covered and thus the term 'Allée couverte' is false and should be replaced by 'Dolmen à couloir large'. At some point I think the whole subject of dolmens, tumulus, passages and allées need to be re thought through...
so... lets make a re-count
