Well, technically this has been a "work week" and as usual, deserving of a FF shot to celebrate getting to the weekend; in reality, have been off sick since Tuesday but, what the hell! I am celebrating anyways! (Oh, and getting better, I hope!) HFF
A cow decided to join us for sunset one evening at White Pocket. I don't know about you, but I'm surprised that they still allow cattle ranching at White Pocket. You would think this area is equally deserving of protection as Coyote Buttes. What do you guys think?

...Speeder Bikes Are Really Fun!!!"
So these are some more of the speederbikes that I've built over the last month, for my "TechWest/Speederbike Rally" display for Brickworld 2016 next week. (Think I'm up to 32 40 built this year...) They are all deserving of solo-shots, but no time left for that. Hopefully will have more time after the show.
And yes, there are a couple more bikes that I'm still keeping as a suprise (no peeking!), as well as the buildings and race-course.
Hope to finally meet some of you in person next week!
... Oh, and I hear flickr notes are back...
They say that animals are incapable of feelings and reasoning. This is false. No living thing on earth is void of either. They also say that man is the most intelligent — and the most superior — species on earth. This is also false. It is very arrogant to assume that we are the most intelligent species when we keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again. It has been shown that both rats and monkeys learn from making errors, yet we have not. Our history proves this. All creatures on earth have the capacity to love and grieve the same way we do. No life on the planet is more deserving than another. Those who think so, are the true savages.
Suzy Kassem,
Said Sammy the snowy egret. Normally their feathers lay down close to the head, but when they get riled, that evil crown comes up. I'm not sure what got into this guy because it had the whole pond to itself. But I thought it deserving of a head shot.
Uniacke Estate. Historical. You will notice by the bow in the roof. The foundation requires immediate repairs or the snows of this winter will render this building as a dangerous structure. Deserving a demolish. Thus the original is lost. BUREAUCY in the chain of government.
“No matter how qualified or deserving we are, we will never reach a better life until we can imagine it for ourselves and allow ourselves to have it.”
~Richard Bach
As I hiked through 5 National Parks on my vaction, the words of Ken Burns kept running through my head - "impossible to imagine what we would have been like without them.” His Documentry, The National Parks - America's Best Idea was an extrordinary PBS series highlighting how these parks came to be preserved for generations to enjoy. This is a must see film.
Return of the King
When I began photographing a few years ago, I always thought of the Golden-winged Warbler as the king of warblers, noble and secluded. 4 years ago, I started my search and did not hear or see one. 3 years ago, I heard my first but could never actually locate one. Last year I heard several and saw my first few but could never get a picture that I felt was deserving of their beauty. Yesterday I took 2 good friends Ray Hennessy and Mark Strohl to the forest up north and we got great looks at many species including the king. We found 2 feeding near the trail, and while sun was harsh at the time, I got this one feeding in brush allowing some softer light. While the background is busier than I like, I like the feel of the brush and the colors mirror the colors in the bird. Look closely and you can see a tiny aphid that the bird was feeding on. It was a good day.

It has been an amazing Christmas day in Paprihaven, which is fitting as we celebrate the arrival of an amazing Savior.
The Paprihaven First Christian Church has poured a tremendous effort of love, first for God, then for others,* into the preparation of the venue for this time of worship and once again welcomed Pastor Calvin from the Tomper Congregational Church.
For his part, Pastor Calvin has faithfully thundered the saving Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and now comes to a conclusion.
"My dear friends, we are well into the night and yet the half has not been told. So abundant are the riches of God's truth."
...Amen!...
"We close with the good news. It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.**
Why does Paul say he was the worst of all sinners? The same reason every born again Christian recognizes that of themselves. We see each other on the outside but we cannot see each others' hearts. But we can see our own.
In evangelistic conversations, I am inclined to ask those I speak with, 'Do you think you're a good person?' Every lost soul ends up saying 'yes' on some level.
When we think we are good, we cannot be healed. How can you accept the cure when you do not recognize the malady? Jesus said, 'since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.'***
God tells us we are not good, and incapable of righteousness.**** We like to think we are good, and so we spend a life self-justifying and comparing ourselves to other sinners.
But, friends, and many of you have experienced this, when God opens our eyes through His Word so that we begin to see His glory, His perfect righteousness... then, in that contrast we realize, I'm not good!
We cry out with Paul, 'Wretched soul that I am!"***** We cry out with the tax collector, "Lord, have mercy on me the sinner!"******
We cry out with Isaiah, 'I am undone! I am unclean!'******* With Job, 'Now that I have seen you, I despise myself, and repent!'********
Do you see? We are not good and have no hope of saving ourselves. To be saved, we need mercy from the very God we have offended. He must have mercy. He must rescue. He must save. And that, dear souls, is what Christmas is about.
God Himself coming to our rescue. The babe in the manger is the sovereign God come to die so that you may live. Come to give abundant life. He gives a peaceful life. He gives a joyous life. He gives a loving life. And, in what measure? Oh, my friends, He gives eternal life.
For those of you who know Him, continue to follow Him. For those of you who do not, come to know Him. And we will all be together in His grace on that day.
All praise, always, to Christ Jesus. Join me in prayer.

It is the annual Seven Days of Christmas at Paprihaven, as we honor the incarnate arrival of Emmanuel, God with us!

For the Month of June, we celebrate Susky! He's been with us even before day 1, working on the sim, helping come up with ideas and supporting in the early stages, all the way to now, jumping in to help run events when a staff member has burn out, rping with players whether it be in discord or inworld, or peeking in on new players to make sure everything is going okay! One of the sweetest players i've ever met in secondlife and genuinely such a wonderful person, Susky is so deserving of roleplayer of the month! We are so lucky to have him here at The Mystic Realms.

I was trying a technique of using a Wide angle lens up close and using my dog Cooper as my test subject. To get him to try and sit or lay for me I was bribing him with his dog treats. Here was one of the last shots I took and he was such a good boy, well deserving of his snack!

We've discovered that Alexander Hamilton (nee Axel) is a super resident cat. He loves sitting at the front reception desk. He sleeps, greets people, and says Hi to their cats. He's completely relaxed which is shocking given how nervous he was a month ago when we first trapped him.
At this point, if someone is desperate to adopt him, and we think the family is deserving, we'll adopt him out, otherwise, he's going to be our resident cat being loved and adored by employees 24/7.
Of our 50-odd warblers, none is more deserving of the title "US National Warbler" than the Common Yellowthroat. Found in all states and in all seasons, this warbler unites us all regardless of where we bird. Here seen at Big Bend NP, TX.

The first Saterday in september is international vulture day. Despite their reputation as scavengers, vultures are ecologically vital and deserving of preservation and protection. In this special occasion, we celebrate the singularity of this species.

Pinnnacle @ Duxton, Singapore
I spent an afternoon noodling around the remarkable "Pinnacle @ Duxton" building complex, in Singapore. The public skybridge is an intriguing community space located on the 50th floor. Its 500 metre span connects the 7, 50 story buildings, comprising the complex.
This architectural marvel is an inspired community housing project, completed in 2009 - the deserving winner of several awards.
Because there are so many of them the Canada Goose is often considered a nuisance and often much maligned. Although possibly deserving of these feelings if you watch them closely you can see they each have a personality of their own, are very protective of their young and are very territorial. This one immediately stood tall and straight, on guard, as I approached with my camera. The rest of the flock continued eating and paid me no attention.
Here's to them ... :)) Huge congrats and acknowledgment to Melbourne for your massive achievement. Enjoy your hard won and deserving freedom. Be well and stay safe out there everyone.
(I'm sorry I've not been commenting for the past week but we have been away and have had limited wifi). I shall do my best to catch up on your latest images in the next day or so.)
this is taken yesterday during photowalk for twin city photography club in "Lotus Pond" Hyderabad. I have to wait for 15mins to capture this couple in the composition..I hope the wait is really deserving after i see the final output.

Jerry & I have been by each others side for 26+ years...in better times...in worse times...in sickness...in health. We didn't take a vow to do it...that's just what you do when you're in love. I don't see how anyone could think our love is any less deserving of recognition than anyone elses.
Yes, me again the Common Merganser! I know it is becoming an habit but, I do enjoy this Flickr notoriety... that's the only one I have. Better keep for myself the secret of how to get on the Flickr "Podium" and if I can help it, stop other ducks from getting on it ... even the deserving ones! You do not want them to develop an addiction! I certainly do not want to share mine ... lol

Save the Children
Those who can, please consider donating to support the children of the world. They so desperately need our help, and if we cannot stop the hate and violence, at least we can help them live, and if enough of us give, they could even have a better life. Let us help in any little way that we can! Our children deserve our love!!! Thank you.
I don't usually ask for money, but I am making an exception, as my birthday is next week, and the biggest birthday present I could receive would be to help our poor children.
With heartfelt thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful day, stay healthy, stay alert, appreciate the beauty around you, enjoy your creativity, stay safe, and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️
In this work I denounce a brutal truth: for corporations and politicians, deciding whether one thousand or ten thousand people die makes no difference. Human lives are just numbers in their hands.
For us, ordinary people, every small mistake brings punishment — prisons, taxes, endless control. Yet those who rule commit atrocities on a massive scale and remain untouchable.
It must stop. Otherwise, we are nothing but sheep, deserving all the destruction and hatred that follow.
The world is in the hands of Satan.

Back in July, I mentioned some good news about an image possibly getting into National Geographic. Well, the day has come, the issue arrived yesterday and the NGM website has been updated. I am excited to say the least, and want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support. Flickr has helped me get inspired about photography and get out of the house and visit the great landscapes that surround us.
This is another image from my brief visit to Joshua Tree National Park back in December. This unique rock formation is just past the arch rock and deserving some fave time with the ol' camera and lens.

I'm a shapeshifter when I look into the mirror
Is my mind playing games with me?
I pick myself apart when the floors are the only thing I see
When you gonna realise
You're young and you're worthy? Oh
When you gonna realize
That you are deserving?
They say you're one of a kind
Self love, self love
Oh, how I wish I could find
Oh-oh-oh, self love, self love
Self love, self love
Oh-oh-oh, self lovе (Self love) self lovе (Self love)
Mood drifter, always toying with the trigger
When the doubts take aim at me
Hanging until the thrill is gone
I can shoot myself down so easily, mm
When you gonna realise
You're young and you're worthy? Ooh-ooh
When you gonna realize
That you are deserving?
They say you're one of a kind
Self love, self love
Oh, how I wish I could find
Oh-oh-oh, self love (Self love) self love
And I try to fit myself into the mold
But that don't leave me any room to grow
I guess I'm one of a kind
Hope someday I can find (Oh-oh-oh)
Self love (Self love) self love
Self love (Self love) self love
Oh-oh-oh, self love, self love
Ooh, I can't wait for the feeling
Of being comfortable in my skin
I'm craving the feeling
To be home
To be whole inside

A flower full of grace. Its leaves are no longer the youngest, but time has hardly been able to harm its imposing appearance. You can see in its complexity the difficulty of past life events, but even more the experience and its strength. Her core is still as gentle and warm as it has always been, but it does not reveal itself to everyone, only to the deserving. The longer you look at her while reading the text, the more beautiful she appears, because it is not just her appearance, but an entity of many qualities, none of which may seem negative. And most importantly, there is no other in exactly this combination, because she is unique😘♥️
One may walk, upon a chosen path
one may view a given subject
one may listen to a long-sought sound
and one may feel at ease with the surrounds
however, it takes only one to create a divertion
to destroy that beloved vista
drowning-out the harmony of awakening
and permeate the air with shards of selfishness
I shun such people who steal the air
those that threaten the peace
betray the clean earth with their filth
and scatter foul-mouthed debris deserving only of our revulsion
Am I alone in this?
do we stand, peristyle, as the scum run amuck within our square?
have we all become amorphous this day?
alas, perhaps this is merely our escape and haven...

(Phone shot) Here is Handelskade, Willemstad's iconic waterfront illuminated at night during the holiday season. It's a charming and colorful place, full of history and well-deserving of the honor of being selected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Festival of the Unexceptional has come and gone yet again. This is probably my favourite spot of the show, and what a special car it is.
You almost certainly recognise this car from the streets of Central London. After being with the same owner from new till this year, it's finally in enthusiast hands!
I'll try and keep this short: owned by a man called Viscount Craigavon from new, he passed away in March this year, just after selling the car on to the current owner Raz (the man second from right in the orange, blue and white shirt), after he noted and asked about the car over and over again. The car stays in London not too far from the centre, which is great to see; I'm glad it hasn't just vanished for good!
I have many FOTU photos to share, but this one I've decided is well deserving of its very own post.

aedem Isidis terrae motu conlapsam
a fundamento p(ecunia) s(ua) restituit hunc decuriones ob liberalitatem
cum esset annorum sexs ordini suo gratis adlegerunt.
"Numerius Popidius Celsinus, son of Numerius, restored the Temple of Isis with his own money from the ground up after it had been destroyed by an earthquake. Because of his generosity, the town councilors (decuriones) enrolled him into their membership without charge when he was only six years old."
Notice that the number six, normally spelled "sex" in Latin, is here spelled "sexs".
In the book Pompeii: The Living City by Alex Butterworth & Ray Laurence, the authors suggest that this Numerius Popidius Celsinus is the same person commemorated by an inscription found in Spain: "To the shades of Numerius Popidius Celsinus, decurion, well-deserving. Quintus Cecilius his son set this up". If so, then this is a rare example, possibly the only example, of someone from Pompeii who definitely survived the eruption of Vesuvius. [The earthquake that destroyed the temple was in 62 CE and Vesuvius erupted in 79 CE. Since Popidius Celsinus was 6 when he fixed the temple, he couldn't have been much older than 23 at the eruption.]

I'm honored to announce that I've won The EPSON International Pano Awards 2016 Photographer of the Year, with both the overall 1st and 2nd place images! This was the 1st place image, and my 2015 image "Funnel Factory" was 2nd. Thank you to the judges for appreciating these images as much as I enjoyed making them.
There are some truly stellar images in the top 50 that would be just as deserving of the win in my opinion, including (but not limited to) those from some of my favorite photographers: Hans Strand, Marsel van Oosten, and Hougaard Malan. See more here: thepanoawards.com/2016-winners-gallery
On a side note, I apologize for the lack of new posts lately. I’m planning on releasing new work in November, and the first official video of my processing series in December (finally)!

Lazienki Park
I prefer to visit this park in the very early hours or during the colder days when there are fewer people out and the only sounds are the birds and leaves falling. One of the most beautiful parks in the city and deserving of a quiet, reflective stroll now and again.
I took this shot during a visit to some of the Comox Valley's vineyards. Although I have photographed other types of fruit, grapes, perhaps, because of what they promise, always seem special and deserving of a certain amount of reverence. As I recall, it was quite bright when I took this shot, so the grapes glowed. The photo was taken in August 2018, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

There is nobody more deserving of a statue than William Wilberforce. This monument stands proudly at the head of Queens Gardens in Hull City Centre.
We as a species seem to have lost our way. Have forgotten what is most important for the well being of the planet we call home. And like a loving parent who needs to discipline her child, Mother Nature is making us aware of our mistakes. If we don't learn from our mistakes and if we do not correct them, then perhaps we are not deserving of this beautiful home.
Hopes and Prayers for all those who have had to flee their homes. Sincere gratitude to the firefighters battling the blaze risking their own lives. Hoping for rain to help quench these fires.
