Sanchi is a small village in Raisen District of the State of Madhya Pradesh, India, it is located 46 km north east of Bhopal, and 10 km from Besnagar and Vidisha in the central part of the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is the location of several Buddhist monuments dating from the third century BCE to the twelfth century CE and is one of the important places of Buddhist pilgrimage. It is a nagar panchayat in Raisen district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Toranas surround the Stupa and they each represent love, peace, trust, and courage.

The State Library of South Australia, The South Australian Museum, The Art Gallery of South Australia on North Terrace are the sandstone cornerstones of our culture, illuminating and enlightening each generation. For two weeks, they themselves will take the spotlight every night of the Festival from dusk till 2am, the artists from the internationally acclaimed The Electric Canvas will transform their facades.
Through a constantly changing array of perfect, jaw-dropping architectual projection, reflecting the heritage and function of these beautiful buildings, Colonel Light’s 19thcentury vision will become a 21st-century vision in light.
Description: Magna Graecia, Southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 325 BCE. A tall lekanis with a large, flat knob on its lid and a foot of similar shape, creating a wonderfully symmetrical vessel. The base has been glazed a glossy black, while the lid has two ladies of fashion in red-figure on either side, separated by stylized palmettes. The lid also has a radiating design in its sunken center. Lovely silvery and rainbow iridescence is visible on most surfaces.
Lidded lekanides were cosmetic containers, often given by fathers to brides on their wedding day. The lady of fashion motif complements this - often thought to represent a young woman on her wedding day. Each lady wears a kekryphalos hairstyle, earrings, and a beaded necklace. This vessel has a very interesting iridescent patina that gives it a sparkling appearance.
Size: 3.875" H x 3.5" W (9.8 cm x 8.9 cm).
Condition Report: Surface wear commensurate with age and use, minor losses to rims of both halves, with some losses, fading, and craquelure to black surfaces. Earthen and mineral deposits as well as silvery and rainbow iridescence throughout.

27 leaves, leaf size 249mm x172mm (9 3/4ins. X 6 8/10ins.) with a text block of 172mm x 98mm (6 8/10ins. x 3 17/20ins.).
Single column, 29 lines in a superb, elegant, humanistic cursive minuscule script in black, probably all written by the same scribe. Many ascenders on the top line, and descenders on the bottom line, have been embellished.
This manuscript include two texts, the first being the Regulations of the Muda of Venice to Alexandria, and the second being the Journal of the Muda to Alexandria that set sail from Venice on 21st. May, 1504. The manuscript was probably written in that city in that year.

This very widespread and generally common species occurs from lowland to mountain altitudes throughout most of the Palaearctic region; in Europe from France south to northern Italy and Bulgaria, north to the UK and above the Arctic Circle in Fennoscandia, and extending east through Kazakhstan and Russia to northern Mongolia and eastern China. Here it is locally common across Wales and southern and central England, more local and sporadic north to the Scottish border and there are isolated groups of records in the northern Scottish Highlands. The typical habitats are coniferous and mixed woodland and parkland but they also occur among isolated groups of trees on moorland and around peat bogs. Adults are active from May until July or August, they are diurnal and may be seen on warm days at rest on foliage or standing or fallen timber, and they also fly well and readily and visit a wide range of flowers. Adults mate early in the season and females oviposit in bark or among soft decaying wood, usually in conifers and especially pine, but also in broadleaf trees, especially birch and oak, but only when these occur in mixed woodland. The predatory larvae, which also consume decaying plant material, develop under loose bark on dead or dying trees and stumps or among soft decaying xylem and have also been found at the base of trunks among accumulated soil and wood fragments. They develop through the summer, overwinter in situ and complete their development over the following summer although at higher latitudes the larval stage may take longer to complete. Pupation occurs in a cell under loose bark or among rotting wood in late July and August, and adults are fully formed by the autumn but they remain in the pupal cell until the following spring when they emerge and become active when the temperature exceeds ten degrees Celsius. Adults are easily sampled early in the year by searching among loose bark, later in the spring they may be swept from tree foliage, especially from pine, or various flowers or spotted resting on timber or fence-posts etc.
This medium sized elaterid is distinctive due to the bicoloured elytra and should not be confused with any other UK species. 7.5-9.0. Head, pronotum and scutellum black, elytra red with the apical third black. Head and pronotum densely and finely punctured, with short dark pubescence which may be, rarely, pale. Antennae black. Pronotum smoothly convex, with a raised keel above the produced posterior angles. Elytra parallel-sided to the apical third then narrowed to a continuously rounded apex striae well-impressed and punctured, interstices weakly convex and finely punctured. Legs black with pale tarsi. Male antennae a little longer than the pronotum, female antennae about as long as the pronotum. Very rarely continental specimens occur with entirely pale elytra.

Melted U-Shaped Steel Beam, Foundation Hall is the location of the “slurry wall,” a surviving retaining wall of the original World Trade Center that withstood the devastation of 9/11, as well as the Last Column, which stands 36-feet high and was the final steel beam ceremonially removed from Ground Zero to mark the end of the nine-month recovery effort.

"Derived from the title of a Jacques Cousteau film documenting undersea life as explored from a bubble to house humans, World Without Sun paints a landscape of the romantic sublime through the prism of an era, hell bent on destruction. From the depths of the ocean to vast nebula and intimate brain cells, the work explores the concept that the universe is made up of multiple subjective environments of which the human is but one. The Square becomes a space of intricately connected life forms seemingly teetering on the brink of both oblivion and renewal.
