হিমলকুচি | Oriental Blue Tiger (Tirumala limniace exoticus)

Dark brown to black with blue markings. Large, showy and slow-flying. Fond of wet soil and nectar.

during editing i tried my best to preserve the natural bokeh that appears on the original shot due to 'focal glow', so adjusting is minimal here on what you see in the final version of this print.

by the way, i don't write long annotations usually, letting the pictures 'speak' for themselves, but this time, as i started to write anyway, let me thank all of you, who regularly show interest in my photostream, follow me, like/fave my pics, leave nice and positive comments or comments with constructive criticism, which helps me to improve my vision.

Daffodils blooming on a hill near my house--shot with a mystery lens: Elgeet STL-Navitar 86mm f1.2. This lens was made for the TRW Space Labs in the 60s or 70s, use unknown. Probably for recording oscilloscope traces. as it is designed for 1:1 macro shooting.
