Depth of Field assignment: the yellow orchid towards the middle right is in focus while the other orchids up front and behind are blurred (f/4 at 1/320 sec.)
So in this photo, I used a slower shutter speed and was able to catch a nice swirl of the umbrella. You can even see about 3 different rings that was created on the umbrella as it was being swirled.

another lunchtime walk. I liked the really sun bleached wood of this fence. It curved off into the distance in a nice way, but you can't see that cause I opted for the lensbaby to get a sense of depth.
Here's an old photo from our day snowshoeing in Snowy Range. I thought I'd give you an idea of the snow depth in places.
And yes, someone did encourage someone else to wear snowpants but someone was being stubborn and thought they weren't necessary. Fill in your own names.

f/5, 1/160 sec, ISO 100, 36 mm. This photo is interesting to me. I like the shape from the droplets; they are interesting to look at. I also like the color from the leaf. There is texture from the wood and the leaf. I applied the rule of thirds by putting the leaf to the left.
Epilobium angustifolium 'Album'.
De 0,6-1,5 m hoge stengels zijn rechtopstaand, dicht bebladerd en niet vertakt. De 4-16 cm lange, meestal rechtopstaande bladeren zijn langwerpig en aan de onderzijde blauw-groen. De plant vormt vertakte wortelstokken, waaruit nieuwe planten kunnen ontstaan.
De bloemen zijn als een grote aar langs de stengel gerangschikt. De 2-3,5 cm grote bloemen zijn tweezijdig symmetrisch, maar niet puntsymmetrisch. De vier kroonbladen staan in twee paren: een bovenste paar en een onderste paar. De bovenste kroonbladen zijn iets groter dan de twee onderste, waardoor de kroonbladen iets weg hebben van de vleugels van een vlinder. De kelkbladen zijn rood tot donkerpaars gekleurd. Het smalle, onderste kelkblad steekt opvallend tussen de twee onderste kroonbladen naar beneden. De bloemen lijken op steeltjes te staan, deze steeltjes vormen echter het vruchtbeginsel.
De bloeiperiode loopt van juni tot in augustus.

In this immage I capted the moement by trowing a strawberry in a glass of water. I took the picture when the splash was made and you can se not only in the movement of the splash but also by the bubbles made at the top of the strawberries. To took that image I use a speed shutter of 1/200. It was easier because the movement was perpendicular to the camera!
Okay, i just figured out how to do this whole depth field thing, and im pretty stoked on this one.
