Taken near the ducks in the previous picture but lens set to 300mm to get more telephoto and shallower depth field at F5.6. Exposure 1/250. I like the way the water is blurry with the reflections.
The E510 owners manual stated that the camera would not take the photo if it was not in focus, Originally it was out of focus, so it got put in the folder Photo analyze. 8 years ago. closer evaluation pointed to the leaf as being in focus. the changes were performed in the discipline called fine art , not intended to disguise / emphasize the leaf, but as we called a non descriptive Rose family, the Mother plant, where the grafted stem originated a new species. Enjoy the handy work, now a keeper.
In this example of depth of field, I offer the viewer the choice of looking at the sharp but darkened soy sauce bottle, or the bright but blurry trees in the window.
I also decided to play with the lighting settings to give this photograph a different feel.

the main reason i bought my 150-600 sport lens was its close focus ability ,the only trouble with that as i am finding is depth of field ,not to bad on smaller insects but a bit of a pain with longer stuff like this caterpillar ,all part of the learning curve though and at least it works without having to change lenses

A very simple shot! Had to walk around the home to get few shots. Last one of my dog was there in the lawn. Weather is pretty mixed these days, with rain, wind, cloud and lots of heat. With that my health is pretty mixed too! Hoping for better coming days though.

I actually set my camera on manual and was there for ten minutes throwing pebbles tedious at a certain spot in the water. Took a while to catch up to my crew!

Raw, with a touch of contrast and leveling for that appealing "toy camera" tilt-shift look.
Jasper demonstrates his depth of commitment to catching the ball. How he can dive like this, nab the ball and keep running full speed is beyond me.
This is a good example of depth of field due to the sharp contrast between the background and the cinnamon shaker in blurriness vs clarity.
12 photos focused on different parts of the flower taken with 5D Mark II using 105mm lens and then blended together in CS6 to make a sharp photo with a larger depth of field.
