This aerial view of Delmar Boulevard was taken in 1918. The Delmar Streetcar loop is around the grove of trees in the lower center of the photograph, at the entrance to Delmar Garden Amusement Park. The curving streets of University Heights #1 are on the right, while University Heights #2 and #3 are on the left. Land to the west remained undeveloped until the 1920's.

This is one of the earliest photographs of the Delmar Loop business district. It was taken about 1925, soon after the Tivoli Theatre was built. A Will Rogers film was playing at the Theatre, but the street light is obscuring the title on the marquee. Haverstock's Cafe was next to the Tivoli Building, and West Del Pharmacy was across the street.
