Definitely not a welcome sight; however, it has been at this point in town for a full week. I'm hoping it starts to decrese soon, but I am really resigned to the fact that we will pay some exorbinate price for a really long time. This is one product that does not really follow the economic principle of supply and demand. The price is artificially high throught the world because we allow it to be traded as a commodity which means it is at risk for speculator driven swings.

My dearest friend and surrogate little brother Aaron was in Toronto yesterday and he called me at about 7pm asking me a) where a good patio was at Queen and Spadina and b) if I would meet him there. Lucky for me and him, I just finished editing my last final paper and was about to submit it electronically when he called so I was basically as free as a bird to meet up with him and his friend Peter (who was also pretty awesome). I've missed my little brother muchly, so it was definitely a great way to get out of the slums of homework and hang out on a patio (and also a really horrible rock venue).
