[ On Monday Jan 4th, A group of friends and I decided to take a little four day vacation to the Poconos in Pennsylvania - in the Arrowhead Lake section of the Mt. Pocono area. Among all the camping experiences I've had with different groups of friends, this one definitely competes with them all! ...but each one is different than the other and better than the rest in certain areas - but man, I had so much fun! ]

Spent the day at uni sorting through my To Do list.
After tea made by Paul (really good goulash recipe) we went to see "Slumdog Millionaire" at the cinema. Got tickets via Orange Mobile so we only had to pay for one on the 2-4-1 deal.
Really excellent film. Was slightly dubious before going but really enjoyed it. Story was really capitvating and energetic.
Definitely one of the best weeks of #LECYPHER last Thursday! Some amazing musical moments, one of the killingest (is that a word? it is now) dancefloor cyphers ever, everything just came together.

Bournemouth beach on a cold but bright winter's evening.
I haven't put any of these photos in this group through photoshop yet and I was wondering whether people thought I should?
The Takin is definitely one of the strangest looking creatures that i've seen in my life. Here's some info from the Takin conservatory in Thimphu..
"The Takin - a unique animal closely associated with Bhutan's religious history and mythology...
Lama Drukpa Kuenlay, the 'Divine Madman' is one of Bhutan's favorite saints known for his outrageous antics. One day his devotees were gathered to witness his magical powers and asked him to perform a miracle. Before complying, he demanded that he be given a whole cow and goat to eat. Having devoured both, leaving only the bones, he stuck the goats head on the bones of the cow. To everyone's amazement , upon a command uttered by Drukpa Kuenlay, the animal came to life, arose, ran to the meadow and began to graze. The animal came to be known as the dong gyem tsey (Takin) and can still be seen grazing in mountain meadows of the kingdom. "
I can't find the name Stolouan on the cemetery's database, but at least I know he was Romanian. I've never seen the first name Ioan before, either. Most of the immigrants date from around this time period. The south side of the cemetery has earlier dates.
I'm definitely not the first person on flickr to arrange my books by color. But when I saw that this week's assignment for my "all I need is a moment" group was cool color, I immediately thought of the ROYGBIV arranged ceiling shelf in my bedroom.
Books and color- two of my all-time favorite things, this shot didn't make the cut because I don't love the light (lack thereof) in my bedroom in the early evening this time of year.
