I love this image with all its imperfections. The deep gaze of the little girl, the smiling mother in the background. Taken at a family function...

Despair can be a dangerous season. But it can also be a developing time—a time in which we learn to trust God, to lean into his Word, to rely on his ways. The choice is ours.
To help us choose the wise path, God gave the story of Esther. For fear of the death of his people, Mordecai cries out to Esther to intervene. He said, “If you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place…who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14 NKJV).
Relief will come! This is God’s message for you. Feeling undone by the struggle? Then let God unleash the power within you to face it. Shift your focus away from the challenges. Ponder the power of your almighty God.

Lassi guest house, situated in a deep corner of Udaipur’s heart; it is a very unique, cozy and friendly place to live. Just a short walk from the Lake Pichola, this home stay cum hotel is unlike any other hotels I have ever seen. It is Live-As-Super-Special-In India = LASSI. Creative, isn’t it?
Upon arrival, you are greeted by friendly staff with a warm smile. And the first thing catches your gaze and breath is the Radha Krishna painting on the wall. Such an intricate and lively painting made by the artist.
When you walk to your room, you notice tasteful decoration and hand painting in every corner of the room. Look up and the ceiling is also decorated with matching style painting.
Every room is decorated on different theme. Such a amazing artwork in such humble place.
The terrace restaurant is a place to spend evening, sipping masala chai and being awestruck by mind-blowing wall paintings.
The most admirable thing is their library. They buy one book with every check-in they receive. These books are purchased for the purpose of Udaipur children’s reading. I have not seen such noble act by any hotel whatsoever their star ratings are.
If you ever happen to travel to Udaipur, please make a point to stay or visit this place. I am sure you too will be as amazed as we are.
Note: And yes, that antique phone is perhaps a working intercom!!
My, Dad, My Sister and I recently took a vacation to northwest U.S.A at the end of the summer. We listened to a book on tape called "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". It was very good and humorous, so we got the movie on Netflix afterward. Even if it didn't follow the book it was a very good movie. This was a Giant computer in the movie called "Deep Thought" who stated that the answer to life, the universe, and everything was 42. I made some fan art based on the computer.
