The large statue of Lord Buddha in the meditative state. The arch that precedes it is elaborately deorated with sculptures of kings, warriors, army generals, children and lions. The message that I received from this is that everybody acknowledges the greatness of Lord Buddha. Your own ego can not get in the way of your appreciation and love for Buddhism.

Earlier this year I had the chance to work with an institute in Jordan that is concerned with improving the lives of women in poor areas of the country. They are being trained to do some great handcrafts using wool and other materials to help them to earn money for a better life. Meeting those ladies and listening to their life stories and priorities was an experience I will never forget.

They were finally seated in Orchestra - and she found out she's in First Chair. She managed to hold on to that position all of last year, and she working hard to do it again. I never have to remind her to practice - and she works through even the most frustrating sessions. I am GRATEFUL for her dedication to playing this beautiful instrument.
Gratitude: 25/30
