The present sanctuary was dedicated in 1887 after being located in four other locations around downtown Macon. The Sanctuary contains many interested Christian symbols to enhance our worship. Among them: the presence of the trefoil (a symbol of the Trinity); the presence of the quatrefoil (a traditional Christian symbol of 4 overlapping circles); a beautiful stained-glass rose window; and 12 beautiful stained-glass windows depicting the life of Jesus. Also of architectural note, the inside of the sanctuary roof is shaped like an upside-down ship’s hull, using the traditional Christian symbol of a boat to reflect that safety and sanctuary can be found in this holy space.
Beneath the sanctuary is the Great Room, a smaller gathering place and home to the Faithful Followers Sunday School Department. It was christened “The Great Room” in 2004, after a renovation, in appreciation of “The Greatest Generation,” the older members of FBCX who given their time, resources, and talents through the years to make First Baptist a place of worship, discipleship, missions and fellowship.

LIMNI - ΛΙΜΝΗ
Limni, on the island of Evia, is a small port, beach and tourist resort, which is beautiful the whole year round. It is located 80 km NW of Chalkida and about 150 km from Athens.
The island of Evia lies along the Eastern coast of Central Greece, and is accessible to the mainland via two bridges, an old wooden bridge and a contemporary suspension bridge. There are also frequent ferries to several parts of the island. It is 175 km long and is the second largest island in Greece, and the third largest in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Dedicated to my 2 friends, a brilliant young boy and a lovely sensitive lady...
I received two bad news from you two on the same day, nearly at the same time and felt so guilty for my being bad at sharing burdens with people in their bad times... I don't know how to soothe your burning hearts, but understand what you're experiencing rite now. Having tasted such bitterness myself, more or less... Here go the message I would like to deliver:
Don't feel so discouraged about love and about life. Don't ask yourself the question who to trust... When someone is not yours, they will never be yours. LoVe isn't that bad when you are with the one who really cares about you, so don't waste time for the one who doesn't deserve you...
Trust me!

End of an Era.
For years, Zimex Aviation’s ATR72s and 42s (with help from Amapola Flyg) have carried the mail across Sweden for PostNord, connecting cities through the night when everyone else was asleep.
On the night of 29th of august the final flights arrived as PostNord ends its domestic airmail operations 1 of september.
A quiet but historic moment. The end of Sweden’s dedicated postal flights, and the closing of a chapter in Scandinavian aviation.

This collage for the group, Flower themes, is dedicated to the beauty of late summer meadows. In Ontario, asters and goldenrod bring glory to forgotten corners of the landscape in August, September, and even October if warm weather holds on.
Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.
The Romanesque cathedral and minor basilica in Ferrara, Northern Italy. Dedicated to Saint George, the patron saint of the city, it is the seat of the Archbishop of Ferrara and the largest religious building in the city.
Construction of the present building began in the 12th century, when the city was being extended towards the left bank of the Po River; the new cathedral was consecrated in 1135. The former cathedral, also dedicated to Saint George, still stands on the right bank of the river outside the city walls and is now known as St George's Basilica Outside the Walls (San Giorgio fuori le mura).
The Temple of Friendship, dedicated to male friendship (complimenting the Queen's Temple, which was dedicated to female friendship), was built by James Gibbs in the early 1740s, to accommodate supper parties held by Lord Cobham and his male friends and relations. These parties had a strong political dimension, particularly after 1733, when Cobham broke with Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole. The building was damaged by fire in the 1840s, and has remained a roofless ruin ever since.
Dedicated to my uncle Carl, he was a gentle soul that touched the lives of everyone he knew. He cared for everyone and treated them as family, he bent over backwards to help others wherever he could. He was a joker and a prankster, half the time you didn't know if he was full of shit because he made up elaborate stories on the spot to screw with you.
He wouldn't take your bullshit either, I learned some valuable lessons from the man when I was young, stupid, and cared only about myself. He set me straight and I didn't want to speak to him for many years because of my own stupid pride. He may not have known, but he taught me a lot about treating others with respect.
The love he had for my aunt Kathy was nothing short of beautiful, they were inseparable and brought so much joy to each others lives that I could never imagine them being apart, for as long as I can remember it has been "Kathy & Carl", as one. My heart breaks to see them torn apart, but I know they will be 'Together Again'. We love and miss you Carl.
Photo from the Oh-Be-Joyful trail in the Raggeds Wilderness near Crested Butte, CO. Carl loved the mountains and always wanted to homestead in the middle of nowhere, I hope I can bring you back some gold from the Yukon this summer buddy.

Winter in my "Moon" garden
For convenience of maintenance and gardening, I divided my garden into two areas that I called, respectively, The Sun and The Moon, according to their position above the garden and seasonal movement in the sky.
Dedicated to the lunatic on Youtube who freaked out while camping and saw a double rainbow. So what does he do? Videotapes it while frantically screaming "OH MY GOD!!!! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???????????????????" over and over and over.... and in the infinite wisdom of Youtube, he became an instant sensation and was hired by video camera companies, began his own "double rainbow" t-shirt shop, etc.
So, somebody call me and offer me millions in contracts, please.
