I haven't posted anything new for a little while, as I've been fixing up our garden decking with the help of Jess our cat and Flossy our new kitten. Its been a little stressful at times with them both disappearing as soon as I've lifted a deck board.

A touch of Christmas has been applied to one of the short Cadets used by New Enterprise Coaches on their local Tonbridge routes and I must say it looks really smart!
New Enterprise Coaches (ARRIVA Kent & Surrey) 3955 GK53 AOW is seen on Pembury Road, Somerhill whilst working route 211 to Tonbridge Cottage Hospital. Thursday 22nd December 2016.

I went to the City Hall Observation Deck in March during the morning to get good light on the downtown skyline. The light was not good for this view of the Sixth Street Viaduct. I went back in the afternoon this time for this view.
The wonderful little town of Cobh known for being the last port of call for the Titanic before it sank, but also for these colorful houses called the deck of cards.
An enormous tumble of boulders rest at the bottom of the Niagara American Falls. Seeing people on the "Hurricane Deck" brings into scale how massive are the boulders that we see from the view across the Niagara River. Just above the Hurricane Deck is a section of the falls called the "Bridal Veil" that is separated from the rest of the falls by land diverting the river water.
Visitors following the series of decks and staircases can get as close as 20 feet to the roar an splashing of this natural wonder. Although looking fragile when viewed from a distance across the river and the Niagara Gorge, the decks are substantial and secure. They are painstakingly taken down for the winter season and rebuilt every year.

Flight Deck, one of my favorite rides now. It has the speed, the turns, the flips, the pains, but more importantly, the ADRENALINE! The ride also tries to mimic the feeling of flying an F-14 fighter jet.

Literally, it translates to "one hundred people, one poem [each]". It also refers to the card game of uta-garuta, which uses a deck composed of poems from one such anthology.

Well, our halls are pretty much decked out as they're going to be. Our tree as well. All that's left is to finish wrapping the presents, cooking ahead of time, and any last-minute preparations that may need to be done before the crowd gets here for our big, family holiday gathering before we know it!
The more we can get done now, the more we can relax later. At least that's the plan. And seeing all the decorations around the house, like this one in our entranceway, helps keep me in the mood.
On the rear of the ferry, open areas for those who can't go two minutes wthout a smoke. and a lovely area to watch the sea pass by.
