Visiting Danielle's place for the first time since the Fourth of July, I got to see her new back deck for the first time.

Bit of decking cleaned by the lads last week... Low pressure steam cleaning using a lance with wide spread nozzle at a consistent distance from the surface across each plank. This ensures a consistent clean without leaving pressure marks and damaging the wood.

Deck planking is installed with Styrene strips

We are excavating down below the level of the concrete pad here and the entire length of the house will become a stamped concrete pad with a nice retaining wall.

I built radius corner on lower deck. Band board is with back kerfs every 1/2" on radius section. Then wrapped in plastic and set to soak in water for 2 days before I applied it to the framing.
