Rabot is a fortified lock complex to protect the city from intruders via the waterways. This is where the Leie disappears, which continues to flow partly underground.
Rabot Towers, part of the defensive walls. They date from the 15th century when Ghent was one of the most powerful cities.

The decapitation bridge is a fixed bridge in the historic center over the Leie.
Murderers and rapists have been beheaded on the medieval stone bridge since 1371. Last execution in 1585.

Rabot Türme, Teil der Verteidigungsmauern. Sie stammen aus dem 15. Jahrh. als Gent eine der mächtigsten Städte war.

Seit 1371 wurden auf der mittelalterlichen Steinbrücke Mörder + Vergewaltiger enthauptet. Letzte Hinrichtung in Jahr 1585.

I forgot which skateboarder the decapitated sticker is from, but the newspaper clipping is overlooked and underrated DC band Senator Flux. It speaks volumes about me that while other kids had Van Halen on their wall, I had Senator Flux in my footlocker.
I credit Zach for the influence but he cannot be blamed for the poor execution (of the photo ... I am not responsible for Barbie's execution.)
