I2C debug port is working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see this was done ages ago, it's only at the end of last year I resumed work on this.
Getting I2C access and framebuffer access took two weeks of work during holidays (including many unsuccessful attempts at JTAG)...
The Xtensa boot only took a week to get it to write to the framebuffer from the Xtensa code... It took much longer to get the newlib C library and RTOS (FreeRTOS) running on the Xtensa itself, register windows making CPU state save/restore a pain...
Trying to get SoundManager 2 working for a particular case playing M4A files; he might have found a bug. TBD.
(Edit): Nope, I forgot.. Turns out you can't automatically have new Audio('annoying-sound.mp3').play() start, Apple thought of that; the user must initiate/start playback of the audio, via click on a link or something similar. You can call load() however without requiring user interaction.
Additionally, the iPad will only play one sound at a time.

It’s a sugar coated version of XP that conflicts with my video editing programs. Microsoft has made it harder to move files with no “move” feature. They have taken away the windows picture viewer and gif images don’t work without extra software.
The switch to box wouldn't let me switch mto moizilla on a download for an upgrade to snagit.

Installing windows 7 signature edition on 32 bit and 64 bit. I had to wipe the 32 bit because 7 wouldn’t recognize windows 7 RC. Install of fresh 7 took About 40 minutes. From Vista 64 bit 7 copied and saved programs and data of @ 400gb on my lt and @ 80 programs in @ five hours! That was nice!

Wipe 7 32 bit because of ati problem. Starting re install
To ready desktop:

A wipe did not fix the ati glitch on a reinstall.
Windows 7 changed back to windows 7 basic color scheme and the tuner came back on. I had just plugged the tuner into Laptop 2 64bit vista and ati 650 worked. Then all of a sudden the tuner started working again on my 7 lt. Weird coincidence.
10/14/2009 4:21:42 AM
Uninistalling Roxio and using a windows basic or Aero theme in Display settings then re-installing the 650 program over the existing install made the 650 work for me again. I dare not mess with Windows TV tuner!
For those with simple need that don’t need a TV tuner I sugest Windows 7 Ultimate. For those willing to troubleshoot your ATI tuner I also suggest Windows 7 Ultimate!

A windows 7 update today caused the ati not to work again. It plays but is slow.

I had to reverrify my activation key on the 32 bit.
I can only network 2 machines that are both on 7.
10/17/2009 10:12:32 PM
A clean uninstall of the 650 then re-install AFTER re-installing roxio fixed it so far. It’s working with roxio now. Roxio’s TV tuner and the ati tuner are working. If you put in ati first before Roxio then Roxio won’t let you install ati.

Closeup of the touchscreen. I haven't connected the touch panel itself yet- it needs an extension wire.
You need a big screen to have full controll over the hole unit during tests. Logic analyser, Quartus CPLD tools, AVRstudio for the AVR controller and the shema's. The logic analyser show the 40 usec samples from the IR focus system and the transfert of a serial bitstream of 44 bits to the AVR controller for general settings and display on the LCD.

I found a couple of pictures from 2001. And while I was debugging my printer / scanner I made this collage. Quite conceptual don't you think :-)
A road without a name, between the A20 and the railway. I don't think you're supposed to come here. But it's a nice, desolate urban landscape. The nearest road with a name is the Veilingweg.

At the moment I'm reading the (well researched book) "Explaining Hitler: The Search for the Origins of His Evil", by Ron Rosenbaum - and suddenly these two pictures seem full of negative associations with WWII and the death camps. Strange ... I never really intended that.
Debugging of the setup 2010 3D unit.
Time for the final step. This picture show the debugging for hardware and software of the hole unit. On the picture the logic analyser (Logicport) is hanging up on the frame for security. 18 channels are available to measure all the protocols between the different modules. The STK600 on the left is also direct connected via the Jtag ISP for fast update ( take only a few seconds). On the top the USB connector goes to the PC for the update of the CPLD module hardware.
The hole test progress nice, I really hope to be ready on 15 March as planned. The unit is now powered via the batterie's but also if need via the mainpower. All the inputs from the front plate are tested and are ready. The IR laser signals, the IR detector, the LCD display etc.

Dark Souls Remastered
• Debug Menu (free camera and timestop. FOV cannot be changed in free camera mode, it is locked)
• 9400x5400 (cropped and downsampled)
• Reshade
This is a working DSi, with all the interesting parts accessible.
(FPGA board in the background can emulate wifi or cartridge SPI EEPROMs.)
The debug connector consists of a six-pin port that speaks a protocol vaguely like JTAG. As the RST pin is low by default, you can reset the device by temporarily making it high voltage. The following procedure will do the trick, using a 3V battery and a bit of wire. All soldering is optional, and no GoodFET is required.
1) Solder the negative connector of a 3V battery to the lone debug pin.
2) Touch the positive connector to each debugging pin, one at a time. I think that I've marked the correct pin above, but my memory is rather foggy.
3) The screen should flash, then numbers will blink every 60 seconds as when the token was active.
4) A reset expired unit can be distinguished from an unexpired unit by the 3 symbol, which remains on the bottom-right corner of the LCD. This symbol is not shown on a unit which has not yet expired.

Software debugging 3D controller.
Via the Intronix logic analyser, 20 signals are connectd to the 3D controller board. All timings are controlled, software are tested. With this simple tools, development goes fast and easy.
The board is now ready to put on the setup for final calibration and tests.

Update: 2012 Feb 18
The complete wiring is done. The software is written and is now being tested. Most functions are working now. Still perform the mechanical adjustment and the recordings can begin. Synchronization between cameras is done. Both of these flashes power can be adjusted through the beautiful central control. In repeat mode by continue detection, both cameras take 3 frames per second on. Next week I hope to take the first 3D pictures into the field.

One can say that Jason Momoa has hit gold this year 2014. He is now starring in the series The Red Road which will be aired on the Sundance Channel in USA on the 27th Feb. Unfortunately we who live in Scandinavia cannot get this channel but hopefully either the Swedish National TV will buy the series or I will have to wait until it will be released on dvd/blu-ray in the nearest future.
Jason Momoa is smouldering hot and dangerous judging by the amazing trailers I have seen and he can finally show the many facetted talents he possesses as actor. Although he has proven his talents already as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, as Ronon in Stargate Atlantis and lately as Keegan in the Bullet to the head.
At the same time he has finished his own directed film "Road to Paloma", which I read, is to be released this summer. He stars in a film called "Debug", a Sci-Fi, and this film is in post-production right now. "Wolves", a film by David Hayter, Jason Momoa stars in this film as well and it will be released this year in Canada and hopefully hit the cinemas in Europe next year if all goes well.
With all this said one can pronounce the year 2014 as The Official Jason Momoa Year. He has indeed worked very hard, maybe harder than before to get this far and I congratulate him for his efforts. Keep up this awesome work Jason, we love you and hope to see more of you on the cinema/tv screens in the nearest future! Cheers! /A
