Shot taken at the Conestee Nature Park. There is a nice wooden bridge that takes you over the marsh. This is one view.
This place was literally a short distance from Anchor Church and on my way home so I thought it would be a good time to pay it a visit. I wasn’t expecting it to be frozen over but just goes to show how cold it has been recently. Subtlety lit by the headlights of passing cars as it’s right by a main road, this shot’s in a Northern direction so I reckon it’ll be worth a revisit to do some star trails here in the future.
This particular tree was a lovely young horse chestnut that was on some waste ground next to some garages. Its roots wouldn't have been a problem to anyone. I don't understand why it was felled.
lightening struck tree- I have the contrast ramped way up because it sort of hid the ugly metal wharehouses in the background. The tree is pretty stripped so there wasnt really much detail to it anyway. I was going to crop it but that just cut it off so drastically so i went with it like this, but I am open to any suggestions on this one.
Rain is a distant memory, like the tender young shoots of spring. Where once a wide and swirling river flowed, only a tiny trickle remains. The steady wind smells hot and dry, without a trace of moisture in it.
