The case had its own lighting system - the white lights in the back for hooking things up, and the internal/trim lights that can be color-changed with the dial on the right. It's all done with SATA power cables, as there are usually extra ones of those on power supplies. This little board here is the logic for all that.

My case: By far the best I've ever owned, though it has a fatal flaw with harddrive noise in certain harddrive cages, and I wish the windows were bigger, and I wish the color-cycling could be automated.

The case has awesome holes allowing you to run most wires through the back, eliminating tangle in your visual working area. Here's what it looks like when it is pristine -- these are all the built-in cables that came with the case. Mostly for fan control. Note the extra cable on the right that they snuck in, on the inside, as a spare. Nice touch. Extra stuff hidden in case you need it later. This is a high-end case.

2003 Dell Dimension XPS (Pentium 4, Radeon 9800 XT, 2 GB RAM) still runs in 2018.

I made this project as a birthday present for my girlfriend: she uses Adobe Lightroom a lot, and of course the usual stuff, browsing the internet, watching movies etc. so It didn't need a powerful video card.

She has a tiny desk in a tiny room so in addition to not having the space to put the case, she has to have the computer really close to her: this is usually difficult to manage because tiny cases usually don't have the airflow to be silent, and the usual result is too much of a compromise between noise, performances, and space.

So I came up with this: a 240mm radiator inside a Fractal Node202, without a dedicated video card.

I had to saw a piece of metal to pass through the water hoses, then modify the AC plug to fit the radiator, and then flip the top cover and make an opening for the vent in the new position:

as you can see, the vent was originally made to fit a 140mm fan, which remains unused for the moment.

The intel 7350K is running @4500Mhz with very low temperatures under load and an almost silent noise output from all the fans. There is of course space for improvements but overall I am very satisfied, and most importantly my girlfriend loves it. :)

This build doesn't really have a definite front or back, it depends on how you configure the fingers.

Here the CPU cooler bulge it's one of the big parts crafted from recovered aluminium scraps, it took a while to smooth it out but it was worth it.

There is also the 200mm Cooler Master MasterFan doing it's job, the Energon 650W PSU and the silverstone technology sleeved cables are also visible through the acrylic side.

Beside the sleeved cables you can get a glimpse of the Arctic esports one 33 CPU cooler but being black it is very discreet.

They are my duo for the #CMWS20, it took a lot of work but I love 'em.

This page is actually quite important, as you want to know which direction fans should be pointing. It's real easy to take one out and then forget what just happened...

P.S. In my "video tour" of the case, I don't understand why this one internal piece pivots. It's pretty clear from this diagram that it is a place one can install an additional fan, and pivot it to point it very specifically where you want it pointed. Crazy. I wonder if there is a pivot locking mechanism...

The case had its own lighting system - the white lights in the back for hooking things up, and the internal/trim lights that can be color-changed with the dial on the right. It's all done with SATA power cables, as there are usually extra ones of those on power supplies. This little board here is the logic for all that.

Last year I promised my twelve year old that we would build a gaming PC together. In August 2017 I bought a Gigabyte GA-B250M-Gaming 3 "Micro ATX" motherboard (on Amazon) together with a load of other components. Two weeks - and before we had started the build - my mother passed away abroad, and I spent much of the next few months dealing with that, and a new job. We eventually got around to the build in November, and the Gigabyte performed wonderfully, just as it said on the box. In early December I acquired a MSI gaming motherboard - a full sized ATX that better filled the Corsair case that my son was using - and so we rebuilt the PC on the MSI.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Gigabyte GA-B250M-Gaming 3 - it's just superfluous to our needs, and we don't have the space to stash it away. It's only been used for a month and is essentially new in every respect. The photos speak for themselves.

This is the pull-out filter that lays beneath the computer. The computer is elevated on feet, so air draws in through the bottom, going through this removable, cleanable filter.

There are seven 3.5-inch cages for harddrive installation. The top 4 can only be accessed from the rear (giggity). The bottom 3 can be accessed from the front. This is a view from the rear, before anything was installed.

Piñasphere joined the fray for the Case Mod WorldSeries 2022

I wanted to experiment how far I could get with the design of a Computer case, from the standard that people picture in their mind when you talk about a PC, a boxy shape.

Even though it is watercooled, it is also less than 5 litres, and weighs about 2 Kgs.

I didn't paint it because I wanted to reach a point in which it looked good that way.

The black Petg of the case is Recycled Pet

Right now It is my main PC, it works for everything and the specs allow for it, from 3D editing on Blender and Fusion 360 to playing at 1080p.

Specs:

Mobo: Asrock X300 M-STX

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G

Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120LV2

Fan: Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700PWM

RAM: Corsair vengeance SoDIMM 2x32Gb@3200

1st & 2nd SSD: Samsung 980M.2 1Tb

3nd SSD: Samsung 860EVO 2.5" 250Gb

WiFi: Intel AX200

From the top, you can see the fan control and USB ports.
